"Jalan Pulang" is not just a horror film, but an emotional journey about a mother's love wrapped in typical Indonesian mystical terror. This is a film that combines family drama and spiritual horror very nicely, at the start of the film we are presented with a gore scene, throughout the film we are required to save Arum before her birthday, there are lots of typical Indonesian rituals in this film, lots of unexpected plot twists and of course it contains a very emotional ending. For local horror fans who appreciate story and atmosphere rather than just shock, this film is really worth watching in the cinema.
Aladdin is basically every underdog's dream-going from street rat to living in a palace. You can't help but root for him. The whole magic lamp thing with Genie granting wishes? Total fantasy goals. And let's be real, Robin Williams as Genie steals the show. His voice acting makes the character hilarious, unpredictable, and full of heart. Genie's over-the-top, shape-shifting antics keep the energy up throughout the movie.
The whole "A Whole New World" scene with Jasmine on the flying carpet is pure magic. It's one of those moments that gives you chills, especially with the stunning visuals of them soaring over Agrabah. The movie also gives you a solid message-it's not about where you come from but who you are as a person that matters. Aladdin might start off poor, but he's got the heart of gold, and that's what wins him Jasmine in the end. Classic underdog story with epic tunes that still hit even today.

"Burning" is a slow burn (pun intended) but in the best possible way. It's a movie that takes its time to build suspense, and when it hits, it hits hard. The film plays with the theme of jealousy, class tension, and the uncertainties of modern life. At first, you might think it's a simple love triangle, but the movie dives much deeper than that. There's an unsettling atmosphere that creeps in as you start questioning what's real and what's not. Jong-su's obsession with Ben grows, and you can feel his frustration as he tries to piece together a puzzle that may not even exist.
The ambiguity of the plot is what makes "Burning" so compelling. You're never entirely sure if Jong-su's suspicions are valid or if he's projecting his insecurities onto Ben. The film leaves so much open for interpretation, which might frustrate some viewers, but I found it incredibly engaging. Steven Yeun's portrayal of Ben is especially chilling-he's charming yet unsettling at the same time, making you constantly wonder what he's hiding. If you enjoy films that leave you thinking and questioning long after they're over, "Burning" is a must-watch.
