I will need to warn you that you should LOWER your expectations and not see this in theatres, The movie is 1 hour and 34 minutes long, the SHORTEST movie in this entire franchise. And you can absolutely feel how short the movie is, The most dissapointing is how wasted Ralph Maccio's character Daniel LaRusso is... because he geniunely felt like a cameo just like Tobey and Andrew in Spider-Man No Way Home. Atleast the acting in this movie is pretty fine in my opinion.
The story also doesn't help with it literally just the most average story cliches you could ever think of, LIKE COME ON ATLEAST PICK CLICHES THAT ARE BETTER THAN DISNEY CLICHES. They also barely spent enough times to develop some of the characters with how short the runtime is, They tried to make emotional scenes but it just didn't hit because we didn't feel connected with them at all because of how short we spent time on them.
This could've gotten like 5.5/10 for me, but one thing HEAVILY made the movie worse somehow, which is the movie's editing, WHO MADE THEM?????? Because the transitions are literal powerpoint transitions where it made me just dizzy with how often they used it in the entire film, The editing during the finale also made it worse, i get what they we're trying to do. But instead it made the fighting less impactful.
The only redeeming qualities are the fighting choreography's, They are geniunely cool as hell but just super sad they are pretty short aswell.
Overall a 5/10, Its watchable but you'll most likely forget it in a couple of weeks if you're a cinephile, but just normal audiences probably a month.

I decided to watch this movie today because i heard its quite good and it dropped on streaming sites and it is.... barely above mediocre, since its a quite interesting first half part with a weak ending movie.
This movie basically follows 2 religious christian womans that are basically tasked to baptize people that doesn't have a religion yet (i think? Idk i forgot lol) until they acrossed the man on the poster (Fantastic casting btw with Hugh Grant somehow fitting being the creepy antagonist) that invited the 2 womans to talk and debate about religions.
Now i will say that this is a interesting movie for a bit because i never thought debating about which religions are real and not would fit into a horror/thriller movie, and the dialouges didn't bore me at all because there wasn't any part of the protagonists in a VERY danger situation until like 30 minutes into the movie im pretty sure (and this is a 1 hour 40 minutes movie btw) which is very rare for these type of genre movies.
And also this could've been an actual masterpiece thought-provoking movie that gets a 9/10.... until the last 20 minutes basically just following the mediocre tropes of these detective thriller movies which really sucked because this movie could've stayed with me for MONTHS. But i feel like in a few days i'll forget about this movie.
6.5/10, still very watchable and fun fact, this is my first A24 movie i ever watched in my life, so theres that.

First off, back when the Teaser Trailer came out, i honestly went "... thats it?" and my mind was just telling me to go wait for it to go onto streaming. Because the trailers pretty much gave NOTHING compared to what we see in the film. And i thought it would just be another ok-ish movie like the first one (and ironically TRAP, which funnily enough. Has the singer becoming a main character at the second half of the movie)
And THEN i saw the reviews for this movie, most of the reviews i've seen are people HUGELY praising this movie and calling Naomi Scott an actual oscar nomination worthy for this movie, and well it got my attention and then i decided to go to my theatres... AND IM SO GLAD I DID BECAUSE WATCHING THIS IN A PHONE OR TV WON'T DO THE FILM JUSTICE AT ALL.
The First Movie is geniunely NOTHING compared to this one. Like when i watched the first one, i thought it was just a quite okay movie with good cinematography. THIS ONE FELT LIKE SOMEONE ELSE WROTE THE SCRIPT INSTEAD OF PARKER FINN, BECAUSE HOW DID HE DRASTICALLY IMPROVED A LOT FROM THE FIRST MOVIE IN JUST 2 YEARS.
The Opening was honestly already a phenomenal scene helped with the fact that it was taken in One Shot. And i don't know if the people that had watched this already noticed, but there is a FEW of one shot scenes with ACTUAL OSCAR NOMINATION WORTHY by Naomi Scott, and this isn't an exaggeration AT ALL.
While yes, there are still jumpscares. But they're done in a REALLY good way and not just cheap ones throwed into your face instanly, like theres some i knew we're coming but done in an unexpected way that actually caught me off guard
AND OHHHH, HAVE I MENTIONED THE GORY EFFECTS YET?? While yes, Terrifier 3 was just a straight up shocking gore movie, its kinda expected when the whole franchise is quite known for it, THIS ONE had a lot more than i expected, and they are done VERY brilliantly, hell even better than The Substance imo. While yeah that movie is still better, but i found the gore in the ending of that movie quite fake where i still could eat during that sequence because it felt too fake, THIS MOVIE MADE ME CLOSED MY EYES A FEW TIMES.
Overall, this BLEW my mind and ABSOLUTELY exceeded my expectations for this movie, and i am ABSOLUTELY interested for SMIL3 with how they did the ending for this film, VERY EXCITED. And Parker Finn is definitely getting added to my list of directors that i need to check their movies out. And PLEASE watch this movie in theatres, and i can promise you, you won't regret it at all if you are a big fan or just liked the first one!
