Amityville Ripper is a fun movie that is quite enjoyable and surprisingly funny.
Anyone who watches this movie knows what they are getting into. It's a low budget movie that is not looking to recreate the wheel and win any awards. That being said I was surprised how funny this movie is. Throughout the movie the characters break the 4th wall by asking the director for his thoughts on how the scene should play out. Most of the characters admit to not even reading the script. This leaves them surprised when characters are killed off. Everything about the movie is fun. Even the death scenes are creative and humorous.
All of the actors in the movie did a fantastic job as well as the Director who ends up being a big part of the movie. The movie takes time to develop characters as well so that there is a connection when they are killed off.
Excellent addition to the horror/comedy genre. Almost feel like Amityville is it's own genre now, lol.
This Horror/Comedy is 100% worth a watch. You will be plenty entertained for an hour and a half. Go check it out!

As someone who has seen a million found footage movies as well as just horror movies in general i'd have to say that i recommend this one. Very well written and directed movie about a bunch of new film makers looking to make a movie based on a local folklore.
Tons of jump scares for any person looking for a scare. A lot of things to watch for in the background of the movie. I would def suggest watching it a few times to see if u can find all of the hidden things the filmmakers added to the movie.
The movie itself is like most found footage movies where it keeps building up to the climax of the movie. In no way do i feel like the movie moves at a slow pace because early on once you see the first appearance of (i'm not gonna say). You feel yourself drawn into looking for the next scare.
Do yourself a favor and don't let this one get away from u without seeing. Cant wait to see more from this team in the future.
