  • Greatly recommend

This is for certain the best Bulgarian film I've seen in recent years, if not the last decade. Fun and with great acting!

It is a wink to an era and a generation, but you don't need to be a part of it to understand it or enjoy it. Such a nice surprise, even the trailers looked good, but I missed it when it was in cinemas, so am happy to have seen it now.

Most surprising was the music, actually - great songs with accurate texts and most of them quite catchy.

Every department did their part, but the biggest stat was the dialogue - so natural and real-life, something that often kills BG movies, but here it made all the difference.

  • Good 1st season

Very nice first season - good character development and gradation. Adequate albeit hyperbolised daily situations and overly enjoyable storyline with good performances all round.

Unfortunately, the second season is significantly dumbed down from the get go and the storyline feels too forced including characters no one asked for that dial up the volume towards existing relationships and forced conflicts between everyone inadequately. In defiance of the 1st season there is no character growth but more backtracking which is illogical... Had to drop if after 2 and a half episodes, it is just not the same nor worth it any more.

  • Just another action flick

I have only 1 thing to say- Whatever this was it was not a Bond movie.

Everything was so out of character it is unbelievable. How could you mess it up this much even Daniel Craig could not save it is beyond me. If you've been a fan, save yourself from this and the previous entry in the saga and watch the rest or the originals. Very difficult to finish and unnecessary long. Character development and dialogue largely fall flat. Only good thing about it was Anna de Armas, but she's in it for 5mins.. As I said - not a Bond movie, just some action flick! I only put 5 for some of the fights' choreography, some of the action sequences and the work of the crew that went into it. Sadly it was not worth it at all, not to mention how many times it was postponed from release. A true mess from beginning to end. Sadly, this franchise is another one ruined irreversibly!

  • Unbearable

Unbelievable Social justice/ virtue signalling and straight out dumb stuff in every possible way - do not watch if you have developed a brain! Too bad, the show had something unique before 2021 with so many true to life and special characters .. the show fell as another victim to the modern Marxist propaganda staggering towards us in all aspect of our lives today..

  • Good

Interesting movie, very raw as per usual with such titles from Brasil. Good acting and interesting filming direction, representing a reality still accurate and relevant today unfortunately no matter which country you are from..

  • Sad

Unfortunately this good show has deteriorated over the years with the current season hitting an all ever low... If identity politics is what you are after or the propaganda of racial issues is your jam you will like it, if not you should skip. Real sad because the actors are still great and it feels like their story is betrayed... alas all is ruined by the agenda, since everything it touches in entertainment is then focused on hitting its marks instead of producing good entertainment, nothing is spared, not even classics of cinema, let alone a 'modern' series like Grey.

edit: By episode 5 (S17) it truly became unbearable to watch so I guess all things that used to be good must come to an end too. I am speechless... this is so sad and it used to be good. Now a flimsy soap opera with an overpowering serving of Black lives matter every other scene, not to mention how out of character that behaviour is for all cast but one. So off-putting! I'm out. The damage is done.

  • Mediocre... unfortunately

It's a shame really, I saw only great reviews and almost expected an instant classic with a new take on the genre.. but.. I was wrong. And unfortunately I think it is due to poor execution. Has some value as a production, makes promises but it just does not deliver. Mediocre screenplay - boring at times and almost good at others. Too many inconsistencies and maybe its biggest problems derived from inadequate pacing. Most actors are good with the exception of the young italian mafiozo grandson - he is simply not believable nor are his actions and he does not feel threatening at all - very flawed character maybe too flawed to make any points. So many times did I struggle to keep my eyes on screen - bored out of it. I only finished it because of the few good things in it and they could have made it soo much more interesting with the footnotes they seemed to have had to begin with. Its greatest flaw may well be its main focus point of "simplifying" matters which are not at all simple to the extend of being almost grotesque by being too bland.

  • Does not stick the landing

Was an avid fan of the show always finding its 30mins per episode not quite long enogh just until the last two episodes of season 3...really sloppy ending did not like it and it does not feel realistic or in character for the lead couple. Dissapointing hence the 8 stars, even dabating if this strips it further one more to 7... it's an underrated and underapreciated show, something lik a "slice of life" story and it really conveys it just until those last 2 ones.

  • Perfect

Strongly disagree with the other review. It is a very good show. Pricelessly depicting Bulgarian society - its culture, traditions and habits. Amazing cast featuring the heavy-weights of acting as well as new talent. Up to date with dialogue and all aspects of it. It is also a huge production never seen before in its scale. Good premice, well executed.
