If you have ever lived in the house and wondered what went on there before you were there. This is the movie for you. The film concentrates on a few families, and all of life's ups and downs that happened in the living room. Captivating music by Alan Silvestri
gives the movie a fascinating appeal. Sometimes I wish it would not have been so sad and overdramatized that so many bad things happening, but I guess that is a directorial choice. The technical aspects are breathtaking and all in all it is worth a watch. Definitely. A quiet movie and not an action spectacular. Some of the cross references with dinosaurs and native americans seemed a bit far fetched, but all in all worth a watch.
If you know something about Napoleon, you wonder why they reduce him to a sex maniac. If you don't, you will wonder what the hell the story is even about. Napoleon is either depressed or has sex with his wife. The person that transformed France and a lot of Europe, the military genius, the talented law maker, does not exist in this movie. It feels like a badly written soap opera. Historical situations that were important get a name in a subtitle and mostly nothing else - what happened, why it happened, who the people involved were and what the significance ot that situation is, is anybody's guess, because it never happens on screen. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to spend two hundred million dollars on this complete waste of time?
An interesting premise about a gaming NPC that becomes sentient but the game mechanics are like an idiots fantasy version of what a midwest housewife thinks acton games are. There is zero story development and the "players" randomly kill out hero all over the place in stupid situations.
It is infuriating that money was spent and invested in a film about a an action game and have 0,0 idea how games are played or done. Just unbelievably stupid killing with no rhythm or reason which is the thing that makes games work. Motivation is the key in all games except maybe serious Sam and rise of the triad.... but even there the good and the bad are always always always clearly defined.
Such garbage.....
