Have people already forgotten about this show? To me it is one of the best British comedy shows ever and yet is seems the people who loved it and celebrated it only a couple of years back, as 'Little Britain' is all over the place at the moment, have all "moved on". Let's hope 'LB' won't meet the same fate...
About the show: the format is perhaps not unique but it works, a good 90% of the jokes are simply hilarious, some make you laugh out loud, others make you smile and some even make you think... I would highly recommend the series to anyone who wants to laugh or even laugh so loud you cry!!! It also works well for those who're not used to Britcom and are perhaps a bit skeptic... they most likely won't be after watching this...

This lovely little story really represents Christmas as I know it... in Sweden most people spend a good part of Christmas Eve watching TV and this is one of the shows that has come to be a celebrated tradition, broad-casted every Christmas Eve for the last couple of decades. It is the tale of a modern day Robin-Hood whose generosity at first is met with suspicion but finally he manages to remind everyone he meets what Christmas is all about - giving and loving not greed for all the right presents.
The animations are funny and well done and the warm and comforting voice of Tage Danielsson guides us through the film, leaving us with a warm fuzzy beautiful Christmas feeling deep within.

This is one of the best movies made in Sweden during WW2. It's just so much fun and with an all-star cast and Hildebrand in charge how could it not be? It's just one of the many collaborations of Hildebrand/Söderblom/Modéen/Botvid where-in Hildebrand directed the other three and often other celebrated comedic actors of the time. His first shot to fame was of course with 'Pensionat Paradiset'(1937) - a film that created a whole new genre in Scandinavian film-making and was quite amusing at that...
'Lilla Helgonet' is hilarious and boasts great performances from all its cast. I think they must have had fun shooting it and it shows off in their acting, apparently Hildebrand also knew how to bring out the best in all of them. It's well worth watching, many times over...
