Once again James Bonds saves humanity from some megalomaniac villain who wants to dominate the world, and keeps the girl. Of course, with some honorable exceptions, this is the same old pattern seen in the last 41 years. A below average Bond.
Yes is a romantic comedy, and yes we expect the ending should be as it was. But boy it was too slow to get where it was suppose to get. I was obvious from the start that there was no chemistry between the Meg Ryan and Bill Pullman characters. In fact, they didn't even fight for their love as anyone would expect. A lukewarm comedy, if nothing else.
Why such a good suspense/drama ends up like a "Friday the 13th" movie is beyond me. The "Alex Forrest" character, although rare, is known to exist in the real world. She is not some imaginary alien from another planet. So treating this movie as just another "horror" film is a betrayal to good cinema.
