Nonnas reminded me of my Italian aunts who cooked all day, homemade ravioli, cavatelli and "gravy". The acting is excellent and the food scenes made me so hungry the next day I made homemade meatballs and gravy, with Connie Francis singing Italian songs on Alexa. Only minor notation is the Vince Vaughan's character needed a little bit of edge, he was too nice! Besides the wonderful Italian mood, the movie was a nice change for us from thrillers and mystery movies.
Could this be any more ridiculous: Banks is high end skincare but smokes her way through the movie, just like in her movie about two sisters. Smoking is great skincare lol Movie should be called Wrinkles. Bankes is an ok actress although she sleepwalks through this movie like an aging barbie doll. Overall, the plot is interesting enough, the acting ok but as many reviewers said, it's basically a lifetime type movie. As a "thriller" it is more comedic than being a thriller. The photography is ok, and there is an eye pleasing rainbow of colors, especially in the shop across the way from Bankes shop. It is realistic about the way customers would react to the situation as presented in the plot.
