The first time I watched Jujutsu kaisen I stranded somewhere in the first season. The way the story was told, the design of the characters and the rules and powers of the world didnt really click with me.
But I picked it up a week ago and it got so good after the first season, I could not stop watching it all and I am so happy I gave it another chance, because it was amazing.
After having seen Kibutsu no Yaiba(demon slayer) I felt no other anime was going to get me engaged for a while, but Jujutsu kaisen really got me, its really good!
I personally did'nt enjoy the soundtrack and the choice of music, but the rest is amazing, and I hope season 3 delivers more!
I highly recommend to give it a watch beyond the first season, I would rate the first season a 7/10 and the rest a 10/10.

After having read the positive reviews, and loving sci-fi, detective series and also having enjoyed Lost and the x files, I expected the series to be quite amazing. But after having seen the first 20 episodes of season 1, I have to say I'm disappointed.
The characters are not very well developed thus far and I think 20 episodes in, that should have been the case. Its all a bit bland and lacks excitement. There have been very few emotional moments so far that actually did something for me.
I think its partly because of the writing, but probably also because of the actors who lack the necessary charisma for their roles, to pull the viewer in.
Or a combo of both, since I am of the opinion amazing actors can still look bad if the direction or writing is bad. And a good story can suck if the actors aren't right for the role.
Also the sense of danger for the characters is minimal almost always. This probably also has to do with the lack of connection to the characters because of either the acting or the writing.
The sci-fi in the series though has been the most disappointing for me. Maybe its the time we live in now, and that it was more believable in 2008. But its very much fantasy and very little actual believable science in my opinion. It might be okay for kids still, but with series like Westworld, Altered carbon etc. That have high quality sci-fi ideas and worlds to enjoy, Fringe looks very low budget, dated and unrealistic.
I rated the first 20 episodes overal around a 6.5, with the best episodes around a 7.5 and the worst around a 5. Its stil entertaining enough to keep watching, and I stil hope the episodes get better. But I expected more out of a series that's rated at an 8.5 and that gets such high praise.
As a reference, I rate other series like Westworld, The boys, Altered carbon, Invincible, Queens gambit, The expanse, Raised by wolves, Black mirror, The chestnut man, Better call saul, Castlevania, Stranger things etc. Etc. All around a 9/10. And although most series have something to argue about, they are all far above Fringe in every aspect that matters to me.

Basilisk is a very good looking, serious and very well animated action packed ninja version of 'Romeo and Juliet' set in ancient Japan. It tells a compact and solid story about two rivaling ninja clans and their ninja. The story is pretty fast paced which kept me interested at all times and makes you care about the great characters in it. The animations in the series are one of the best-looking animations i have seen so far. Overall Basilisk is a pretty realistic anime for a ninjanime and has a lot of cruel, bloody and violent scenes, and a pretty good build up to the righteous violence climax, which makes it that much better.
Definitely worth watching!!!
