I had never heard of this comic before, but I really thought this was so funny and clever and thoughtful. Making a documentary about yourself may seem self-indulgent, but this is the polar opposite. So much so, that after I watched it, the first person I googled was the actor who played the agent. This is proving Tom's case that he is a very funny person but continually in the background. But the scenes with Tom and the agent are worth it alone- how that didn't become a web series pre 2015, at the very least, missed opportunity. The entire film tho I adore, because as Tom says, you hear the stories of those who made it, and of the tragic figures, but rarely of those who were good enough to go 10 years plus but didn't 'break out', yet this is the truth of an overwhelming majority of ppl in any profession, and yet everyone still thinks theyre the exception.
