Not every episode has to be full of rock 'em sock 'em action. This was a good look at another silo. I didn't find it boring or slow. It gave us a realistic look at a silo where society fell apart. And it showed Jules' resilience.
But damn. We have a huge home TV and we turned off all the room lights and it was still almost impossible to see anything. Directors need to stop this crap. It started with GoT and has only spread since. This episode could have been 20% lighter and we'd still understand it was a gloomy and dark place. The lighting doesn't have to be situational-realistic. Audiences have imaginations, but we still need to SEE.

50 years ago National Geographic did an article about the terracotta warriors. I was a teenager and swore some day I'd go there. I did, in 2015. This documentary brought back all the excitement and wonder of actually standing and looking down on those thousands of warriors. The place is truly magical and this documentary does an excellent job of illustrating that.
I cannot imagine the dedication it must take to spend most of your archeological career painstakingly reassembling these statues. The fact that they survived at all is astonishing, considering how delicate terracotta ultimately is.
Seeing pictures, and even this video, is just a tiny example of how incredible the place really is.

Is it perfect? No, of course not, probably because we all had our own picture of what would make the ideal sequel. But it was lovely, enjoyable, and entertaining. All of the original characters who could came back did so. Peter Billingsley did an incredible job of being the adult Ralphie.
It would have been cool had the parents both been able to return, of course, but since Darren McGavin had passed on and Melinda Dillon was too ill (she died just 2 months after the movie came out), it was not meant to be. Julie Hagerty did a reasonable job of portraying Ralphie's mom.
This movie has now become an annual tradition along with the original. Together they are my favorite Christmas movie/story.
