It is a pleasure to watch a movie starring excellent actresses and actors plus there is a maturity there that is missing in a majority of lesbian movies. The lead actress Monica Young is amazing. I'd never seen her before and I hope she makes more movies. I'd seen Andrea Bogart in a number of movies and think she is great. She has a sparkle in her eyes that I love. The two of them as a couple is perfect. And thank you for no gratuitous unbelievable sex scenes. These two make love and keep the most private moments to themselves. The story is told well. I learned a lot about the deaf world. The story is a beauty.
A friend recommended The Last Word because she knows I'm a huge Barbara Niven fan. Well Barbara doesn't disappoint us. Honestly the best acting I've ever seen her display. This is a filmed play so yu feel like you ae in a theater watching. I quickly got into it. I started watching on my laptop then switched to my television. I could see the actors much better. It's the dialogue that is important and the story broke my heart. But, the4e is a lot of laughter too and I won't spoil the ending. Let's just say that you will love it. Cheers to the writer and director for making this happen. Loved it!
