To preface, I did binge the whole show in a few days so some of the meandering episodes didn't bother me and I probably enjoyed it more because of that.
The actors did a great job, everyone is believable and the main couple have fantastic chemistry together.
I feel like it is fairly obvious from the first few minutes that the original book was flawed with flat characters and plot (that's what the FL tells us) therefore anything where she keeps to the original plot seems much weaker then when she goes off script and we get to explore the characters and world more, that's the whole point. So to anyone who complains that the supporting cast are boring that is the point until you learn about them more later in the show.
Speaking of later, the end of the show for me actually changes my perspective of how the show is supposed to be understood which is fantastic because it adds depth and the small clues were there from the very beginning. Hard to explain without spoilers but safe to say it's not a simple fantasy romance, the romance aspect is just one part of the deeper message.
Not sure if this is a spoiler (so stop reading if you want absolutely no spoilers) the main couple never kiss during the whole show which I was disappointed in because they have great romantic chemistry but for me the end actually kind of explains why.

I'm not a big fan of dragging out misunderstandings in romance although I understand it's a commonality but this show very quickly ran out of ideas on HOW to prolong the couples getting together.
The show has 2 main misunderstanding points that it uses too often to extend the run time, 1) random interrupting phone calls 2) seeing somebody getting in the car with someone, these are completely overused and just get annoying after the 3rd time
There are 3 main couples the show follows and one very randomly added couple near the last quarter of the show. All 3 have different levels of unhealthy problems that could be solved easily with the slightest bit of communication, and while I can excuse most of it because of their insecurities (I still say 30 year old intellectuals should know how to communicate) the 3rd couple truly exhibits worrying behaviour that is only ok because the show says it's cute and the guy isn't a threat but in reality this would be a much more worrisome scenario, (without going into spoilers) there is a significant age difference between the 3rd couple (which on its own is not a problem) but the show very clearly displays the power imbalance and inappropriateness of this couple, and they are given nothing in common or even any bonding time until the very end which just makes their relationship seem creepy.
The main couple is cute enough, although the female lead can be a bit infuriating in her decision making and complete lack of self awareness.
The second couple hugely suffered from having nothing to do during most of the show because their problems and resolution can be solved in just a few episodes so it ended up being dragged out poorly.
Overall all the actors are nice to look at and there are some very swoon worthy moments but I'm pretty sure I could've skipped 15 episodes and wouldn't have missed anything.

I do not understand the hype of this show when the lead couple is so toxic and unrealistic, it infuriated me so much how they would brush off the threatening of her job (which she really liked), the uncontrollable jealousy and just no accountability as "aww aren't they cute" no! It's not ok and I think I checked that he never once apologised to her for his behaviour (she heard from others about his trauma and guilt etc but he never once had that conversation with her) so the fact she just forgives him was annoying
That being said the second couple were adorable and actually very healthy in their communication and everything, which just made the main couple seem even worse. The friendship between the girls also brought many great scenes.
I would love to give it a worse rating because pretty much every scene between the main couple was irritating to watch but everything else was very good that it's hard to drag the show down.
