I first saw this as a young boy growing up in New York City. Million Dollar Movie on WOR channel 9 had a limited movie inventory and played the same movie every day and then twice on sunday.. My older brother and I so loved this movie, that when it was aired, we would watch it every day, including the weekend showings. It never lost it's appeal and to this day, it's one of my favorite childhood memories. It needs to be available on DVD and the streaming services, so others can enjoy this great movie. In my opinion, this is the best movie that Steve Reeves was ever in. He'll definitely surprise you.
I loved the movie, but always wanted to know what was the song the the prisoners sung and why it so bothered the guards. Here is the song with the translation and explanation.
