  • An amazing start followed by a downhill slide

    Season 1-3: 10/10, Season 4: 8/10, Season 5: 7/10, Season 6: 5/10

The first three seasons of the series are extraordinary, especially the first season. Starting from the second season, the plot direction changed, but it was still good with magnificent fight choreography that really kept you on the edge of your seat, and the character drama was engaging, making you want to know more and see how things resolved.

In seasons 4 and 5, the direction changed even more. The antagonists and other new characters lost some of my attention as they weren't as interesting, and the main plot was increasingly sidelined. The script quality noticeably declined, but it still retained some of the essence that made the earlier seasons so good.

The last season strayed even further from the original plot and became a jumble of things. I lost all interest in the characters, who made the worst decisions and seemed to become foolish. The story was terrible, and I couldn't find any interest in the tournament they were playing for. The choreography wasn't as good, and it was a shadow of the first season's glory. Miguel, who was the protagonist in the first season and whom I loved, is now the worst character of all. And Netflix prolongs its miserable death by dividing the season into three parts, making us wait months between them as if it were going to be worth it. Just end this agony.

  • Wow, what a disappointment of season 2

    Season 1: 10/10, Season 2: 5/10.

I was so excited for the second season, after so many years of waiting, and it turned out to be a disappointment. The story barely progressed at all, and the games were disappointing. I'm sure the writers made a season probably of 14 episodes and split it into two, and the problem isn't just that the story is left incomplete, but that nothing relevant happens. A terrible second season that is just a shadow of how amazing the first one was.

Regarding the first season, it's excellent, highly recommended.

However, I don't recommend watching the second season, at least not until the third one comes out, because the second is definitely an incomplete season.

Instead of making a complete story per season like good series do, they decided to split one season into two, without giving a conclusion to the first part. Big mistake.

  • I like it! It's fun.

I love it! I've watched it four times; it's my comfort show. It's a shame it was canceled, but the story feels complete enough. It has a sufficiently satisfying ending.

If you want to spend some light and enjoyable time, this series is highly recommended. It's relatively short and very entertaining.

Besides being well-written, it's refreshing to see well-thought-out characters and motivations that aren't just for plot convenience.

I love the character of Nick; she's very intelligent and audacious. She may not be the best role model, but she's admirable, and everyone in the series eventually learns to be better. Nick is the main reason I enjoy watching the show; it's fascinating to see a young girl being so smart and capable. The rest of the characters are also great, and I'd love to see them in more series. And, of course, Melissa Joan Hart, whom I've loved since Sabrina.

    It was a fantastic job.
