Season 5 was by far the weakest season, but there were a few gem episodes within the season.
This was a decent episode, but such an uncelebratory way to end the series. At least Andy Kaufman had a few good scenes.
Shame NBC couldnt figure it out after taking over the series from cbs (abc?). Slime move for the head of cbs to cancel this series out of spite.
Repeat for IMDB Season 5 was by far the weakest season, but there were a few gem episodes within the season.

Acting of two women leads - quite good. Natural. Im surprised they dont have a bigger portfolio of successful works.
Supporting cast, mediocre to okay. So even more kudos to the leads for carrying this and making up for their co-actors somewhat janky performances.
Found the stop motion jarring and unnecessary. Glad that stopped in the first acts. Maybe trying to film manic feelings? If so, then was a little overused.
Self destructive relationship behaviour: pretty realistic A nice balance of some hard emotions and happy emotions. Never felt overwhelming either way.
The ending during credits was quite charming. Except for the somewhat silly painting.
Overall, 7 seems like a fair rating for this. But I can understand the opinions of people who loved and hated it. It's certainly a tricky film for wide appeal. It has elements that will speak to certain minorities (lost young kids, the Euphoria crowd, others). But it also has elements that are likely to offend, and enough moments that some will find improbable and ridiculous.
I can forgive the improbable since it serves to make the story entertaining. But dont take it too seriously. This is an odd mix of serious and silly. And for the most part, the director/writers manage to pull it off. But yes, I understand the 1 ratings. And the 10s.

It's mediocre, but I expected it to be terrible.
Dee is a decent actress. The lead is fine. Her husband is terrible. And the rest are made for tv movie actors.
Ending is kinda fun. But overall, this is a movie for when you're doing something else on the side.
Repeat.
