The Production Values (Sets, Costumes, Make-up etc.) are all very good -to- Top Notch; but the problem(s) come in w/ the +WRITING: e.g. At what point will the main Female Protagonist (Philly High Society Woman), who is apparently very capable & intelligent, start LISTENING (Deferring) to the clearly superior advice of the Man whom she is Paying to safely transport her & her son back East (?) What's it going to take for her to LISTEN to the Life-preserving advice which Taylor Kitch is constantly providing her, for her own well-being ??? (i.e. This could have been a 4.5 -to- 5/5 show, but the clear current-day PC meddling takes you right out of the story IMHO, at least in this area)
If you loved the Final Season of 'LOST', you will no doubt be gushing over 'FROM' (which has also has a 4-Letter word for a title)
One day a study will be done as to Why so many people Appointment -watched a TV Show that, for THREE Seasons......has gone almost Nowhere.*
( * In fact, that is what they should have named this abomination of a Thriller: NOWHERE =-> 'cause that is the direction which, according to the script so far, it feels like it is going in....... Circles, withing Circles, Within CIRCLES.............)
To help boost the Fun (& indeed Anguish) that you'll experience watching 'FROM'* Season 1: Play a Drinking Game; and take a Shot every time someone asks another; "Are You OK??" (I.e. You'll be on the floor within the hour) (* such an imaginative & well thought out Title for your TV show, isn't it; has all the gravitas as Mando's "This Is The Way")
Remember The fabulous "Mystery Box" that was the show 'LOST' (?) Well, "if you like THAT, you're gonna Looovve THIS." ~ Hudson (Aliens - c. 1986) 'Suspension of Disbelief': this is a required ingredient to believable Visual Story Telling.....and it is virtually Non-existent in this show (i.e. At NO point during Season 1, 2 or 3 did I feel like I was watching anything other than a badly contrived Network-produced Television Series.....I could practically see the Boom-mic operator & Assistant-director standing just outside of frame; the Writing, Directing & Acting is THAT good)

Remember when Films used to make you FEEL Something (?) And at their various crescendos you would get that Intence Tingling up & down your body: like a Ghost playing Harp on your Spine (?)
The Ultimate (film) version of the Life of William Wallace has this & more in spades.
"Sniggering Hom*phobia" -or- "Squeezes The Life Out Of The Role" and other jealous, callous, unwarranted &/or petty colloquial negative critiques about this film are thrown out by Film Critics who can't/won't work & thrive in the actual industry which they make their living praising (or dumping on).
But if you have even a passing love of Film, History & Story-telling, then this Bio-pic (which -has- taken liberties w/ the misty & vague historical source-material) is definitely Not To Be Missed.
A sprawling 30+ year old Movie that Still Holds Up in a big way (originally told by 'Blind Harry The Mistral' in medieval 1390) about a real Scottish Hero; a complex yet simple & larger than life man who "Only Wanted Freedom For His Fellows & His Friends".
4.9/5 -or- A (-&- 1/2 a +)
