  • magic realism?

Watched the whole thing in one sitting! Great cast, intriguing plot. Not your typical Bangla drama! Thank god!! I am no critic but it seems like the story has the magic realism style wrapped around it. Great, I loved it! Thank you!!

  • semi-fictional reality!!

Gautam Ghosh usually makes films that you can enjoy with the heart. Moner Manush is also one of them. The movie tells us about the story of a Sufi-Singer Lalon aka Lalon Fakir. His poems are usually called "Lalon-Giti". Both the starting and the finishing are awesome, regarding, as the whole movie is in between! Prosenjit as Lalon acted superb. There is a mix of Bangladeshi and Indian actors and actresses in the movie that eventually tells us the whole point, as songs are not only with any land or any region rather it is for the universe, the planet and the whole wide globe. The movie might seem a bit slow. The songs are well sung according to me. But the truth is you'll never know when it's going to end. So, just watch the movie and see it for yourself.

  • wake up!

In my opinion, I really do not get the so "HI-FI" thing about this movie? People are calling it so "JOSH" and "Heavy Hoise" etc. But really is it really that good? When you have nothing to eat, if you were given a bread, you would say "Thank You". But when you are already eating bread, you would be looking for some Jam and Jelly with it. The movie is not that bad, but the thing is that it is better than the running Bangladeshi Movies. I really like the multiple personalities of RUBA and there were some scenes which made me belief that Faruki can do better. But again, it seems he is looking for only mass-media attraction.

    wake up!
