This was an incredible story that grabs you from the first several minutes to the very end! As soon as I began watching, the movie, it captured my attention all the way to the end. The actors took you on a journey and you really didn't know where you were going to end ups. The ending was surprising, but not totally a shocker. I did expect a different ending. By all accounts, the acting was great, and Mary J Blige as the matriarch of the family was very convincing, although her part was very small. I highly recommend this movie without hesitation. It is worth the 1 hour and 45 minutes. Get your popcorn ready!
I love Jennifer Hudson. I have been following her since her days on American Idol. She is GOAT when it comes to music and singing. That is her core competency. Hosting a daytime talk show is not. Jennifer doesn't have the personality for this kind of work. There is something missing from the show. I have to watch at least 3 or 4 times when the show started and again 3-4 times well into her first season. It was very difficult to watch. The interviews are just off and awkward. There is no rapport with her guests. However, the audience really seems to love her. I wish her the best and hopefully things will get better, but just make some good music!
