One poster comments that they do not understand why more people are not watching this show. Will there be a season 2? I am not sure there should have been a season 1. For some viewers, psychopathic serial killers plus gore is a big attraction. I give Park Eun Bin credit for doing something totally outside her usual fare. However, she would have been better off sticking with Attorney Woo 2.
This show is labelled as a thriller but it fails in that realm. I have gone through 4 episodes and I think many viewers don't last even that long. The show isn't very smart, it plods along with a cat and mouse game between two doctors but there is no "wow" factor.
To have suspense, one of the characters has to have some sort of redeeming quality so that you root for them. Unfortunately, here...who cares...she's a bat-spit crazy nut job who you eventually wish would get caught. He's an accomplished ego-maniac.
It all seems quite contrived and has "that doesn't seem like that would happen" moments.
Yeah, we get it, Park Eun Bin can play anything but the show is flat and at times ridiculous. Good writing can do better.

The characters in Hospital Playlist were smart, multifaceted and layered. Their relationships were interesting and well, adult...not to mention their relatives and family friends. You were watching young brilliant people coping with work, love and rare leisure time.
The foursome in this show are well...idiots...at least at first. You have the inept guy, the stereotyped robo-girl, who has no emotional connection or empathy with patients, the bratty fashion girl who is addicted to shopping and the last girl who is somewhat boy crazy. There is a ridiculous head doctor whose over-the-top abusiveness serves no purpose except for entertainment I guess, and adding drama. In addition, there's an evil witchy doctor...change the "w" to a "b".
I stuck with it and grew to like the lead female who turns out to be the most appealing of the four. The romance she has with her brother-in-law's brother is sweet although at times a little too innocent. Definitely rated G.
I am certain there are some who can't get through the first episode because it comes off as rather juvenile... but stick with it. It can be emotionally touching and funny at times.
Unlike Japanese drama, Korean drama has A LOT of yelling at others. It is something you just get used to after a while, but it is not so bad in this series.
The five Hospital Playlist star doctors all make cameo appearances. That was a delight to see!!

It is rare for me to just stop watching a show after a few episodes. I tried. I know some other people who also could not make it, some after only 2 episodes. There are many other Korean shows to watch, this is one you should skip. The reason, of course, is that the main character is so repulsive that after a while, you want her to rot in hell :) She's never funny, she's never cute. Her soldier, well not very likable either (and I loved her in Miss Day and Night).
The side bar of humor are the animals adjusting to heaven, missing their masters or otherwise suffering from abuse and neglect. After a while, that gets tiresome.
It is all somewhat repetitive and very inconsistent. You get these flying blue things for being violent or hostile and after receiving five (or is it six?), off to hell you go. So when they return from hell, the mrs. And her soldier still threaten and bully and yet nothing happens to them. You would think they would be sent back to hell right away...nope.
Maybe the characters find redemption later or whatever. Other reviewers said they did not like the ending. The beginning and middle were bad enough...I am not hanging around for yet a bad ending. I got through about 5 episodes and went on to a much better series.
The shows tries to be something important with even some squid game violence but alas...not good.
