I liked the first episode as a spin-off. Casting was good, but that's it. From the second episode forward, it's just a regular cheap bad series, doing a One Piece cosplay. When people mentioned the budget was like that of GOT, I guess they meant the budget of a single GOT episode to create the whole show, or maybe they spent all that money on marketing, because it was certainly no employed on the show. Just another bad series not worth anybody's time. This is One Piece "interpreted" by an idiot. A poor idiot at that. People saying the series is great are clearly lying, or not reliable. Maybe this is the first tv show they have ever watched and they'll probably change their opinions when they discover something like HBO.
This anime is probably not for everybody, but if you're into it, I'd give it 10 starts.
Silly jokes. This is not trying to be an epic, just a passtime about young delinquents in Japan.
I wasn't expecting anything, but I really enjoyed it and miss it already, so I'm reading the manga and having fun there again.
Main character looks stupid in the beginning but ends up being and endearing character. Nothing in here is pretentious - this is like watching a Japanese version of Beetle Bailey. I like it that way. I'm kinda tired of every story trying to be too rich and complicated.
I can see how there's not really a lot to say about this show. It's more about an interesting experience than an intellectual achievement. Anyway, if you like old anime and Japanese culture, this anime is great company for a couple of hours, getting to know one more badass classic legend from Japanese manga.

This movie having such a low note is yet another evidence IMBD makes no sense anymore. Probably the best animated movie in many years, with a very nice story and some profound discussions. But too many people today are in the church of "I can't understand it, so I don't like it and it must be bad". Ask the people here writing bad reviews to write a better story and see what you get. These are people who go to a museum and complain because there are no pictures of flower vases and beautiful kids playing with dogs.
