This was like the "comfort food" of documentaries. My review is based on Season One, through Canada, and the (very slightly) unpolished format made it so much more real. Somehow they made each province more appealing than the last, and the feeling was of tagging along with a good friend who was on a mission. (I mean, even Saskatchewan looked great.) Definitely planning to stream Season Two.
One of the greatest, most upbeat music videos ever. I found it about seven years after the release, had the good sense to bookmark it, and have watched it countless times since then. That it was filmed in my home town of L. A. was just a bonus; I think they could have made Kabul look fun.
Other online comments complain that this song stole from earlier Hoagy Carmichael music (Heart and Soul), but those people are wrong. It was not stolen. The credits are clear, the derivation is well-documented and probably saved a lot of people legal headaches later.
Thanks guys, many years after the fact but never too late.
