This was my first time seeing the 1996 film The Craft, 29 years after its release. And honestly, it was pretty good! Three school girls are social outcasts who dabble in witchcraft. When a fourth girl comes to town, they find that their powers are indeed real.
Positives!
+Each girl has a background and struggles.
+Magic lore felt thought out.
+Strong 90s vibes.
+Creative and risky artistic choices.
+Practical effects with creatures.
Negatives!
-Robin Tunney's wig!
-CGI doesn't hold up, but thats not a big deal.
-Pacing issues.
-Watched on DVD, and film transfer was very bad, major sound issues.
The Craft was a surprisingly interesting film. I liked that each girl was given her own stories that intertwined. While it does show its age, it manages to stay relevant.
8/10!

F1: The Movie is exactly what the trailer shows you. Old Man Brad Pitt is picked to help train a newcomer JP (33 year old! Damson Idris) for racing. They quarrel, learn from each other, and win the big race. Also, I am not a racing fan.
Positives!
+Racing is expertly shown. You feel all of the action.
+Good use of music throughout. (Led Zeppelin!) +Acting was good, not great though.
Negatives!
-By the numbers film. No surprises at all.
-Racing team pushes the limits (and breaks) the rules of F1. Penalties are too lax.
-Entertaining, but not edge of my seat for me.
F1: The Movie cant help but be what it is. The entire movie is licensed; as you would expect. Cars, racers, tracks, all of it licensed. $200-$300 million budget just made it impossible for it to succeed. If you're an F1 fan, you may enjoy this more than me. That is if you can get past the penalties and Brad Pitts age.

A sequel to a sleeper hit seemed like a sure fire win. But, it wasn't, which was really surprising. M3gan 2.0 strays from the more horror oriented first film to more action. It seemed like a weird choice at first, but the movie explained it well.
Positives!
+Maintains the comedy and camp, perhaps even better this time around.
+M3gan really comes into her own, fully realized.
+Clever action, twists, Cinematography.
+Social commentary about the very real issues with AI usage.
Negatives!
-Some questionable CGI.
-Amelia was underutilized.
-Tonal shift might not work for some.
Honestly, I don't know how this movie flopped so hard. It's a fun film thats perfect for a summer day. Action, comedy, camp, etc. It's unfortunate because this is what people "claim" they want. See it for yourself!
