Joined Feb 2002
He was born in Long Beach, California, a graduate of Millikan high school. Didn't start acting until the age of 22 when he moved from Portland, Oregon, back down to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. He has tons of stage experience, being a long time member of The Zeitgeist Theatre Company, and co-founder of The First Stage Alert Theatre Company. He produced the feature 35mm film Bottom Feeders (1997) with best friend and First Stage Alert co-founder Lonnie Schuyler (formerly of Model's Inc. and Melrose Place). Used most of the actors from the theatre company to be in the film, available to rent from the free rack at Cinefile. Michael was featured in the film "Blow", but like Kevin Costner in "The Big Chill", ended up on the cutting room floor. Michael is still pursuing his career, set to co-star in the indy documentary-style feature "Camjackers" in April of 2004 as undercover police officer Richard (Dick) Miles, then will follow soon after in May with the horror/suspense thriller "Beneath The Mississippi" (see the website at www.mississippifilms.net)featured as Gilly, the grizzled first mate of river guide Jack/Jaques, and will be serving as associate producer on the film as well. He currently resides in West Los Angeles.

  • Sometimes simplicity is the best policy...

I rented this last night from Blockbuster, upon reading the comments on IMDb. I had been eyeing it on my past few visits, and finally decided to give it a shot. Yep, it was good, and I was not surprised. Adam Corolla is a smart man, he came up with a decent story and had somebody write a decent script for it. While I'm not a huge fan, I like his deadpan humor quite a bit, and he uses it to full effect in his movie. He doesn't play a character he essentially is himself, and it works, he doesn't try to act himself into something he's not. What I was surprised about is his athletic agility, I didn't realize he was so athletic, or did he have stand ins? I'll give it a second watch and pay more attention to that. All in all, nice simple story, no special effects, just a good low budget movie about human beings and a somewhat surprising ending that I won't spoil. Not that it is in my top ten movies of all time, but maybe my recent top ten. Go ahead, give it a watch and enjoy it. I did. Sometimes simplicity is the best policy, I hope Adam will do another one and keep it simple again...

  • Jean Obsession???!!!

A very clever little low budget flick. Society outsider Dick (Alexander Niver Polinsky) meets the girl of his wet dreams Perry (the very hot Maria Ford with a nice boob job since some of her other films, and yes, like most of her films, she does get naked in this one also), and it is discovered that they both have a fetish for the Perfect Fitting jeans, and will go to any length to get them, including murder. A simple but bizarre plot not for every taste, but a very original movie. The leads fit into their roles nicely (pun intended), and the supporting cast is also solid. I rented this movie because of the box-cover and expected nothing, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out what a great little sleeper this was, then ended up purchasing a copy for my collection. Veteran B-Movie producer Donald P. Borchers does a nice directing job, I was pleased to see that he has also been involved with some other films I am also fond of. See it one night when you're in a twisted mood, it will make a great evening of cinematic entertainment...
