A typical Guy Ritchie movie, funny, violent, charismatic characters and awesome sequences. The music and sound effects also blend perfectly with some moments, with some transitions being very well done. After reading some of the worse reviews, mostly saying the story is made up....well, what is wrong with it? I haven't seen dragons or rings with power and that doesn't mean Lord of Rings hasn't been one the main movies of a decade. It's Guy Ritchie, it's fun, not a history channel documentary (even those have fiction). Also congrats to the actors, whom really made the best of those particular witty characters.
I came across this movie by total chance, and feel very fortunate to give it a try. The argument does not follow that standardized and overly saturated Holywood lines, feeling a bit more familiar and authentic, despite the rush with which the action develops. It leaves the spectator with a warm feeling good feeling and that is the should be the main goal of art, to make you feel, to make you think.
There are some moments in the narrative that could be better explored, are not fully explained and where the soundtrack could be other, or that the camera approach could be different, but the actors do a great job and overall the result is very pleasant.
And Friuli Venezia Giulia is just gorgeous!

Although I didn't read the novel this series is based upon, you have the perception that the storyline has the potential to be really good. The main actors are great and the locations give it a sense of realness. However there are a lot of key moments, mainly in the last episodes, where you get the feeling the directors weren't able to tell the story at the best pace (a bit rushed) or create the deserved suspense and proper connection of the plot threads. Congratulations for the original series.
