At first I thought this was going to be a short about bugs, not that I'm a fan of theirs, but with the title Tick, you're introduced to something that might present itself like the giant bees in California. Instead we have a violent attack on this young woman who is trying to keep her sister or daughter safe from those who will enter, not in a way expected. The film isn't what it's suppose to be with that title, so I recommend that you skip this and not end up checking your hair for invaders.
Okay, I know there are other actors out there that can get away with it, but Mr. Hall seems to be doing a really sad and weak impersonation of an Englishman. They could have changed the story just a touch, by making him an American Doctor, working in the UK, as they did on ER, but they didn't and now my poor ears have to watch a show that I'm really curious about. I've read the other reviews and quite a few of them gave a big thumbs up, so I'm going to take my chance and hope I can get thru the accent.
I recently found this show on a site that offers out of the way films, shorts and documentaries that are different from the circle of regular films. I found the show entertaining and youthful, being that it's okay to let the kids watch too. There is one question I have about a certain evil character, especial those who should never be placed into power, I wondered who is this CEO Palidor was, and how did this character rise in power from the old world? Sometimes it's not easy to watch villains get away with murder, but in the end, the bad guys always lose. Well...since this is a never ending type series, I wonder, how the prequel would be, and should I maybe read the books first to understand the characters better. Either way, the show is entertaining, and the characters (actors) are wonderful to watch. Yet, I would advise anyone to read the series, before watching the show. I guess it will have a better introduction and a more understanding ending. Good luck.
