Yes it is gory, and trust me, the gore is very realistic. But if that is what constitutes as a good film, then I can link you to many real gore videos from the deep web that I have personally seen. This is nothing but a gore fetish masquerading itself as an artsy nouveau horror. Its a little too over the top for me.
Its Hammer time! I thought I had seen all of the Dracula movies but I missed this one. Peter Cushing was perfect in his role as well as Christopher Lee. This one ranks at the top of the list for sure. Another favorite is Nosferatu. A couple of observations, the director was not consistent with the sunlight killing a vampire. Also, to call this a horror movie seems wrong, When compared to the "horror" movies of today it should be something like "horror lite". My point is, a movie doesn't need to have blood and guts and gore to be horror, like today's horror films. Sometimes it's a turn off.
Its not a bad film, kinda goofy, kinda dumb, but funny. The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, come on! Its not going to win any awards but how many films do?
Welcome back to the jungle! Just as good as Jumanji 2017. The action, humor, and story are excellent. And the scene with the mandrill's is just brilliant!
