This is a snooze fest. Literally NOTHING happens, you keep waiting on the action/any semblance of a plot to actually begin, but it never does.

I'm presuming the "based on a true story" is when a woman once called the police because she heard a weird noise in her attic. Yep, that's about the sum of this piece of nonsense.

The annoying music all the way through doesn't help, and the acting is drama school bad. The whiny voice of the female lead character made me want to murder her myself.

ZERO plot, zero characterisation, zero scares, zero story.

Do yourself a favour and skip this bore fest.

This is touted as being the true story of the life and crimes of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

It's not.

Basically nothing in this movie EVER happened, some of the names are the same, but that's IT. Total fabrication on every level. The blurb at the end telling you what happened to Gacy, makes out as though the events in this film happened as they are portrayed - that's utter nonsense.

This story has been done better, many times before.

The acting is school play quality - total garbage. The kids who play the friends of Bobby are just abysmal, I've seen better acting at a primary school play.

The principal actors are bad, the script is atrocious.

The actress playing the Mother can barely move her lips and looks like a store mannequin, couldn't take my eyes off the awful plastic surgery. It's the ONLY gripping thing about this pile of junk, seriously hypnotic. She looked more like a clown than Gacy did in full clown makeup.

The slow motion sequence at the end is laugh-out-loud pathetic and cringeworthy.

Seriously, everyone involved in this pile of junk needs to hang their head in shame. Watched it out of morbid curiosity to see how bad it would get - trust me, it gets very bad.

FAKE story, waste of time, BAD BAD BAD.

I have since found out that the "actress" who plays the Mother is married to the director and writer of the film. What a surprise she was cast in the role (NOT).

Mediocre. The voice acting wasn't great, very emotionless, and not what I would imagine the sound of the survivor to be like at ALL. Some of the more interesting dialogue was cut from the story, while they added other pointless stuff like the character of "Gloria" washed up on the island beside him, which I don't recall being in the original tale at all and added nothing to the story.

Doesn't explain how he amputated his own earlobes or nose and expects the viewer to interpret this from the pictures.

A little disappointed as it's one of my favourite short Stephen King stories from his short works of fiction.
