Main thing to point out is if you watch, make sure it is the 2024 version and not the totally awful 2012 version. This version is at least captivating for the most part and the characters are tolerable. Not a great movie by any means but it has suspense. Most annoying part is the initial behavior of the Police Captain, who fortunately comes around.
The start of the movie comes pretty quickly. This crime is very painful to watch because of the helplessness it puts a parent in. Do other people take these Amber Alerts seriously? I don't know. If they do, it does raise the question of whether a person would be believed as a potential witness. And how far will a person take it on themselves to rectify? Hard decisions for a person to make.

I was suspicious of a movie that won so many Oscars and I never heard of it. It also peaked my curiosity as I felt it 17TRACK must be really good to recieve such Oscar accolade. Sadly I was disappointed. I watched until the end just to make sure I didn't overlook what the academy felt was so great about it. It just never happened. I found myself pausing the DVD player multiple times just to see how much boredom remained. In fact, there is an actual 'The End' moment on the screen. I felt glad, but then discovered there was still an hour left. Oh brother! I just don't get it. With other rather pretty good movies this past year and this one wins out? Sad. Really sad. I did give it some stars because it was directed well and had some decent special effects. Unfortunately it left me unmoved and bored.
