A virologist returns from a lab in Wuhan to his home in India, only to discover he has acquired a strange disease with flu-like symptoms (but worse). We all know what the disease is now, but at the time people who came down with the severe symptoms of COVID-19 must have been as frightened as they were infirm. This movie, filmed mostly in the protagonist's apartment, focuses on the simple and moving drama of survival in the face of the unknown. Director Ankit Mishra uses his resources to his advantage, eschewing the trappings of a bigger budget drama and giving ample space for the main character's personal, yet universal, struggle to breathe. This labor of love is an insightful study of the triumph of the human spirit.
