I half expected The Doctor to come through the door with his sonic screwdriver. Tbr wuality has sure dropped from the first two seasons for sure.
One plot convenience after another filled the episode which had me thinking some kind of lunchline would manifest and we'd all have a good laugh. I guess i did when Thursday showed up at the end and announced, "DCI Thursday. Thames Valley!" I seriously hoped Morse would wake up from a drunken stuper and say, "that was a banger!"
This episode was so weak. What a terrible end to a lackluster season for a show that has been nose-diving since season 6.

Too often since 2020 we have been force fed dull, poorly acted, directed, written, edited and preachy "entertainment". On Call is not any of my aforementioned criticisms.
Is it a perfect show? No. There are some times when a character will act out of character which was established in a previous episode. But, it wasn't a distraction.
What does this show get right? Characters are not shallow. From the main cast down to one's you only see for a few seconds have depth and are acted out very well. I have to hand it to Lori Laughlin, she hasn't been a great actor but she played the part of a lieutenant that reminded me of female officers in the military. Also, Eric Lasalle does a great job. Every actor is great but veteran actors Loughlin and Lasalle play their "small" parts very well.
Another thing done right, tempo. Even with 8 short episodes the overarching story is played out well and even gives time for character development. At the end of each episode I found myself wanting to play the next one without hesitation. Take note Disney, you are failing in that department with Star Wars.
If you like police dramas like The Rookie, this is better.

To say TLJ is a POS is actually being nice. After Han is made into a deadbeat dad and terrible husband Disney Star Wars puts its talons into Luke and turns him into a washed up wanna be jedi. Long forgotten is the hero of the Republic who faced off against the emperor and Vader. Now Luke is a pathetic loser!
But wait, enter the biggest mary-sue ever created who just so happened, with no training, kicked the butt of a trained sith in the Force Awakens. She is wiser and stronger than Luke could ever hoped to be.
Adding to the pathetic treatment of Luke you have the clownish stupidity of the stupid First Order as a whole and childish tantrums of Kylo.
Add to that, you have a pathetic excuse of an admiral leading the exhaustingly stupid retreat in history and a total denigration of both Po and Finn and the introduction of a terrible character of Rose Tiko (no fault of the actress who did the best she could).
The concept of this movie should have been stopped at the development stage. This movie cemented what many believed from A Force Awakens, Disney was going to make terrible Star Wars entertainment.
Chances are you have watched this movie but if you haven't, you should so you know exactly why fans of Star Wars despise Disney's butchering of it.
