Back in 2013, Snyder's Man of Steel was criticized for being too serious and grimdark. Unfortunately now Gunn goes too far in the other direction, with extra bright colors, dog jokes from the 90s/early 2000s and weak dialogue that does not deliver the needed impact. The balance between seriousness and humor is missing - Gunn just doesn't understand nuance.
It's a film that lacks character development, relying on people's already-held notions of them. James Gunn is content to show a universe unfolding, meaning it's not exactly a Superman film. For many, this may not be a problem. However, a film that carries the term "Superman" in its title alone should focus on Superman.
This start to DCU could have been much much better.

Not sure why the reviews are so low for this one. Brahmastra tries something fresh for Bollywood and is entertaining for the most part. Ranbir and Alia have good chemistry and Amitabh is great as ever. Alia could have done better but was still good. The visuals are fantastic up to hollywood standards. The Hindu philosophy elements are added nicely and some moments were genuinely thrilling.
I don't understand how people are giving movies like KGF 2 good ratings but bad for this one is confusing. We need more unique movies like this one from Bollywood and hope they expand the universe even more in the next one!

All Hindus in India should watch this and understand the cruel history of the mughals. Aurangzeb was one of the worst mughals who destroyed lots of temples in the country. This movie shows the struggle of Sambhaji against the Mughals after the death of his great father Shivaji.
Only problem was background music, too loud could've been better...
First half a little slow but still shows the bravery of Sambhaji and his relationship with his poet friend very well. Second half sad and emotional, the betrayal and torture of Sambhaji by Aurangzeb is gut-wrenching and hard to watch. The guerilla style warfare against Aurangzeb is well shot and shown on screen. Jai Mahadev! Jai Bhavani!
