This movie is truly a gem if you're a person with our head out of your a**. It's incredibly multifaceted with touches on societal changes, generation dynamics, family turmoil, self-love, difficulties aging, women's suffering, following one's dreams and the struggles of regret. Pamela Anderson was the perfect choice for this movie, as a woman herself who was heavily sexualized in her youth and criticized over her choices and parenting. Today Pam has become a beacon of hope and symbol of bravery for women all over the world, to start over, form your own path and do as you please as long as it isn't harmful. As a 30 year old woman I have seen both sides of her and admire the strength it's taken to reinvent herself and I adore the messages she was sending in this movie. It's certainly not for those who want to zone out or scroll on their phones with something in the background. Commit to it, see the messages, think of ties to our society and what is being said; then you will truly enjoy it.
I don't know how this is the worst movie I've seen in years. As a Michigan native who has spent time in Holland and loves Nicole Kidman I was ready to give this movie 5 stars before I even watched it. Whoever wrote and directed this needs to stay far away from cinema of any kind. The story line is erratic, makes no sense, and is never explained. Like I guess the story has a happy ending? Maybe? I'm not even sure because it was so confusing and so many questions went unanswered. But frankly I hope they don't make a sequel to explain it because the world doesn't need more garbage like this in it.
