The showbiz... the "BIZ" ! The Himesh Patel's mantra to carry the/his day... when everything is on the verge of falling apart, again and again !
If you're not familiar with movies shootings, you won't ever watch a movie or a TV series the same way you did before "The franchise". Of course this very clever and hillarious behind-the-scene series is sometimes filled with exaggerations (is it ? Someone is really sure of that ?!!!) but what a very very well-written dive into the wonderful world of egos which movie business is.
The whole cast, Himesh Patel brillantly leading the pack, is absolutely perfect. 100%.
Season 2 is coming. This is not "The end" of this cahotic franchise ! Fortunately !

Are you really sure that you're white first ? Are you really sure that you're black first ? Are you really sure that you're arabic first ? And so on.
Are you even really sure that you're a women first ? Are your even really sure that you're a man first ?
NO. First you're just another Human Being on this planet, with feelings.
And skin color, religious affiliation, nationality, even gender at some point, are most of the time false and deadly identities based upon deep fears.
If you're not afraid and courageaous enough, please read all Jiddu Krishnamurti books (a very well-known indian philosopher) or the acclaimed book "In the Name of Identity: violence and the need to belong' written by Amin Maalouf (a very famous libanese and french writer)
That's what this very clever, very well written, very well played TV series is about, in the end.
A must-see to grasp (and counter with openess and love) the unfortunate extremisms, splits and divides of our troubled times and societies.
Are you even really sure that you're a women first ? Are your even really sure that you're a man first ?
NO. First you're just another Human Being on this planet, with feelings.

Characters' psyche at its best. Exceptional Historical acuity. Very skilled and sensitive writing that land powerful and moving scenes, with truly meaningful dialogs. Very good acting ensemble.
This story, the characters and the tough choices they face (and pay for) stay with you a very long time after the show is over. And it is not just a figure of speech.
It is truly a masterpiece and a VERY VERY POWERFUL SHOW ABOUT THE HUMAN CONDITION.
Dive in and you'll be transformed in a way or another !
