This show was so much fun! I watched it in two days and don't regret a second of it. It follows the life of a closeted athlete, Benny, as he tries to figure out how to express his sexuality. The show is fun, touching, and surprisingly relatable.
Usually, I create "what I liked" and "what I didn't like" categories in my reviews, but I don't think this show needs that. I LOVED IT! I highly recommend it - it's a great comedy, it's fun, and it'll probably cheer you up while making you feel a range of emotions at the same time.
Also I see that this show may get more seasons in the future (I hope so) - I just want to clarify that this review was made when only the first season was released.

Pauline is a short six-episode series that follows a girl who becomes pregnant with the devil's child. The concept seems pretty simple at first, but the show includes some twists and turns. However, they still weren't enough to completely capture my attention. Why? Let's talk about it.
What I Liked: 1. The different representation of angels and demons. This aspect doesn't become obvious until around episodes 3 or 4, but I think you'll understand my point by the time you reach these episodes. I really appreciated this fresh perspective -especially the fact that the devil is portrayed as Lilith rather than the classic "you-know-who." This might be one of the reasons the show received a decent score from me.
What I Disliked: 1. Some parts were genuinely boring - almost as if they were trying to pad the runtime with predictable scenes just to stretch the series to six episodes.
2. The show only becomes truly engaging toward the end of episode 5, which is unfortunate. You have to get through about four and a half decent episodes before you reach the interesting parts. Also, season one ends on a cliffhanger, so I assume a second season is planned?
Conclusion: This show could appeal to people that like the demon and angel stuff. It offers a unique and different take on the subject. That said, the first 75% (approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes) of the series is rather dull and predictable. Thankfully, the final 25% (around 1 hour) redeems it somewhat. If you are a person that dislikes cliffhangers, you might want to skip this - because it definitely ends on a pretty good one. This show is so short that giving it a shot won't hurt anyone. Who knows, you might end up liking it more than I did.

Mary & George caught my attention from the very first time I saw it. A few weeks ago, I decided to give it a chance, and it was totally worth it. The premise is simple: the story follows George Villiers, the first Duke of Buckingham-widely believed to have been a lover of King James VI of Scotland and I of England-and his mother. The narrative begins in 1612 and concludes in 1628, three years after King James's death, when something happens that brings the series to an end (if you don't know, I won't spoil it-you'll have to find out for yourself).
To be honest, I consider this show quite bold-not only because it might stir controversy among historians but also due to its very nature. It feels delicate yet sensual, dark yet luminous.
What I liked: The portrayal of the 1600s - I loved their approach. They presented this world in a way that felt natural and immersive, rather than overly polished or idealized, where everyone appears flawless and free from the so-called "sin." The costumes - Absolutely stunning. Maybe I just have a soft spot for period attire, but they were truly beautiful.
The queerness - Perhaps a bit excessive at times, but it was refreshing to see a show that doesn't shy away from exploring aspects of history that likely existed.
Nicholas Galitzine - No further explanation needed. He's just so hot.
What I disliked: The dialogue - I didn't hate it, but at times it felt off. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it definitely could have been better.
Conclusion: This is an intriguing show, especially if you enjoy stories about England's history. It also happens to be quite a gay show-so if that's something you're into, all the better.
