  • Put your self on the tween / early teen years....it's a good one to watch

It was one of those night where I was looking to what to watch with my kids, 11 and 7 yrs old, so I gave this a shot. Now, on my flim snob eyes, it's nothing to brag about ...all the holes and cliche , yes there are many, but if I can put my mind into my younger years, I think it's a good one to watch, it has a mix of that twilight zone's Mysteries nd a touch of horror, in fact ir gave me a pretty cool ride. we watch 5 episodes straight. I really like looking at the kids watching it withn suspense. As a horror fan myself, This is another chance for them to appreciate the genre....So, again , putting myself in their eyes, i give it 6 /10

  • Over stylized ? why don't you be the judge

I love Giallo stuff and when there's a movie that pays tribute or respect to the genre, I'd give it a go. So with this one, seeing a really cool cover of the DVD and being French and all, hey off course :) I like the idea of a missing lover story and I really like the stylized detailed, closed up shots and sounds of many of the scenes. BUT I find it a bit much. I feel that with Giallo, being psychedelic doesn't mean, psychedelic shots of every scenes, this movie has an amazing / best art nouveau back drop that it self already gives a certain persona. I find my self looking the other way just every now and then to rest my eyes also press the ff button just because my brain is telling me " yes I got it, got the idea...next ". However I still recommend it to you, because it has a very good story and all this stuff I'm writing about is worth to look at. But for me.....a bit over done

  • A Great B movie on a mainstream market

Aahhh, it took me a while to watch this movie, because it looks like just another bad action flick, the poster is not helping either. I love films, from foreign, docs, festival to the Hollywood blockbusters of all genres. I hunt for certain directors, and I do love intellectual films or some might call them art flicks. But the genre that I do miss is the action trash ( grind house films ) In the glory days of VHS, many films were released only for the VHS market. Many of those are the simple, dirty action films, some are bad and some are so bad it's great. Well..John Wick reminds me of that. No BS, revenge films. If you are aware of the Charles Bronson's Death wish, John wick has a similar idea. Recently I am very happy with what Liam Neeson does ( Taken 1,2 and A walk among tombstone )John wick has similar feel . Don't expect Cannes films or look for holes, this is, like I said a B movie on a mainstream market. Great ride, shoot'em up midnight snack ( only if those seedy cinemas still around )
