Honestly, I'd give this a 6.8 for truly laugh-out-loud moments, but am rating it 8 to balance the unfair 1 and 2 ratings. Reviewers should consider the merits of the film itself, not just how much they disliked it because it didn't fit their preconceptions. Yes, the writing falls apart in the second half but, if you like Amy Schumer, you'll enjoy this film and its uplifting message. Even though it's definitely a chick flick, my husband laughed as loud as I did and we were both entertained overall.
There is a lot of information here that can help you make an informed decision about cholesterol levels and whether or not you should take statins. Don't be put off by the subtitled french interviews, it's worth wading through. I never realized that, in addition to the more well-known side effects of statins, there is evidence linking statins to diabetes and dementia. Before deciding, consider who is paying for the studies (i.e. the drug mfg).
I will abstain from rating this 3 part movie because after watching part one I was so annoyed by the fatal plot flaw that I lost interest in watching the rest. The acting was good, the premise intriguing, but, from the beginning, the story revolves around the unlikely assumption that Marcey, the caterer, would put herself at risk by assisting a possible murderer, lying to the police and essentially becoming an accomplice. As the plot unfolds she gets in deeper and deeper ... why??? Why would any reasonable person do that? Sorry, I just couldn't buy it.
