I love movies. Mainstream, obscure, campy, cheesy, I love them ALL and I love talking to people about movies and what they think about them. My favorite show is Mystery Science Theater 3K. My favorite movie is Ed Wood, for some strange reason.

  • Wow!!!

I've never felt so compelled to write in on how I feel about a movie until I had experienced "The Sunset Limited" last night on HBO.

I was really moved. I actually burst into tears at one point.

Two men having a philosophical debate about life and death and the idea that knowledge is a burden, and the more we know, the more miserable we become is one point of debate in this powerful film. Some of the best writing and acting I've seen, anywhere.

Multiple viewings may be required for most to fully absorb the impact. A real punch in the gut.

I actually felt like dusting off my old Bible and thumbing through it for a while when the movie ended.

I don't know what else to say about this movie except that if you have not seen it yet, you MUST. It makes so much sense and it is a real eye opener.

McCarthy is genius. I love all is work and this is just an absolute masterpiece of writing.

Tommy Lee Jones and my man Sammy L. are absolutely mesmerizing. I have not seen acting this good in a long time.

There is so much I want to tell you about this film, but words just cannot do it justice.

I loved every second of this film, and I hope you do to.

P.S.- I NEVER give a movie 10 stars because I like to reserve that honor for something that is truly special. This is truly special.

  • Jackie Freakin' Gleason, Baby!

Man, you people are way too uptight about this movie. I laughed my ass off. Jackie Gleason is Gold in this movie! Easily the best line in the movie to me is when Sheriff Justice follows the Bandit into the Pittsburgh Steelers practice and asks Terry Bradshaw to help slow him down and so Bradshaw tells "Mean" Joe Green to "tackle That Car" , he gets in front of Justice's car and Justice says to him, " Get outta my way or you'll have a penalty flag hangin' outta yo ass!" I'm laughing my ass off as I'm writing this, Gleason is priceless in this movie and makes it worth checking out. Gleason's one-liners are so funny! Justice on the C.B. to The Bandit: Hello you handsome sombitch! Another time: Hello lollipop! Just classic. The movie is whatever, but who cares. That Trans-Am is pretty cool too.

  • Brought Back Great Childhood Memories

Watching this movie again really brought back some great childhood memories . I'm 34 now, have not seen it since I was 12-14. I had almost forgotten about this movie, but when I watched it again recently, some scenes literally brought a tear to my eye! That little robot "Jinx"(friends forever!). It was just like revisiting my childhood. It was an absolutely amazing experience for me. I will always cherish this movie for that reason. I can't believe that was Joaquim Phoenix as a kid. I'm addicted to 80's movies now. I can't get enough of them. Thanks a lot Space Camp. Friends forever. Jinx is still the best "80s movie robot" ever. I named my cat Jinx.
