Had high hopes as I like Paul Greene a lot. The main female character was not well cast. She didn't have much personality and her acting was weak. It didn't help that the script and plot were simply silly. Same old Hallmark formula, nothing new to see here folks. I was also seriously distracted by the lead female's looks. I feel bad mentioning it but, wow. Yellow hair (yes, yellow) with a giant grow-out patch of black (that's not how ya do this look) and a face of harsh pink makeup. Total clash! Who are the makeup people on this film? Then there's the obvious fillers turning a probably beautiful woman into a (again) a harsh woman looking much older than she probably is.
Another reno show with hosts wearing beautiful street clothes, fully made up, swinging sledge hammers for the camera. Just ridiculous. Too much time spent on the emotional stuff! The one I watched today was more than 15 minutes in before they got to discussing any actual renovation ideas. I know it's important to make the emotional connection of an uncomfortable home to the finished product now supporting the owner's new life, but really, enough of the boo hooing! Product placement very much in evidence here, shouldn't be surprised, I guess, given the name of the show. Hosts, please stop trying to participate in the work - it's unneccessary and painful to watch.
Another 'boilermaker' from Hallmark. Just cranking out junk now. I agree with many other reviewers: really bad set design/decor (fake flowers literally EVERYWHERE), script bad, story tired, and yes - the wig. I truly do not understand how a director/writer/producer/actor could possibly watch this movie and be proud of their work. Considering Hallmark is also trying to promote their paid streaming I'm surprised they put this movie forward to fans at all. It will turn off a lot of otherwise loyal fans. I have always seen Hallmark movies as fun escapism but the only way to escape this is to turn it off.
