This relatively low budget film relies on great acting and a really believable future universe which the viewer must workout for themselves. It's a dystopian vision which I found very believable. Far above the normal sci-fi average.
Just three main actors and a last minute fourth, no budget, no proper cameras, just tons of talent, empathy, humanity, pathos, passion, imagination and creativity. This film is way better than thousands of multi-million dollar projects. Okay it's cheesy and ropey in parts but to this reviewer this added to the charm. I truly only realised the tiny nature of this production when the credits rolled... a massive little movie, so glad I watched it.
This beautifully shot film follows the artistically blocked main character on his odyssey through modern Switzerland as seen through train or bus windows and the interiors of basic budget hotels and hostels. The urban industrial landscapes are alienating whilst the mountains and forests are stunningly beautiful. The acting appears so true to life and subtle that you'd think it was fly on the wall documentary. The pace of the plot development is steady and moves towards the essentially life affirming conclusion. I loved this film and will watch it again.
