There aren't a lot of humans in the movie and those that are have absolutely no chemistry. The acting is dry and so is the dialogue...cliches all over.
Also, not sure if this was suppose to be a kids movie only!? It sort of works if its target audience are kids.
Whatever contract Millie Bobby Brown has with Netflix it better ends soon, at this point it only hirts her career. She's appeared in nothing good since Stranger Things.
Since imdb requires a certain amount of characters, and honestly this movie doesn't deserve all that much in depth review, I am just writing this: not much to see or feel with this one, just skip it.

I suppose the movie has a point but surely there are other ways to achieve that goal.
It is all about vanity, popularity, the unhealthy relationship between celebrities and audiencies where both sides harm each other, although in reality I'd say the celebrities cause so much more harm, much like Sue did, where Elisabeth was her fan amd supported her each week, all teh while knowing that Sue will not respect the balance.
The cast was perfect. Everything fits in the movie...BUT I watched it most of the time through my fingers and that says a lot. Absolutely revolting to watch, I wasn't going to pass out or something, but I do not want to have any memory of what I barely saw, let alone if I was watchimg it with my eyes open.

The movie isn't as bad as the reviews make it, but not undeserved.
It tries to be too grand, futurustic and artful, but the actions that drive the plot are really petty. The futuristic or fictional culture seems to be close to some sort of real life cureent decadence, but really does not relate.
We are not given enough reasons to relate with the characters. We don't know Cesar's plan for the city and we barely see how awful is the mayor for the people of the city.
There is barely anything moving the plot.
Visually is as grand as advertised and the cast is good enough if even better than expected with whatever they had as a script.
