  • Funny but not scary!

Wow....that was AWFUL! Bad acting, lighting, the music...I only gave it one star because it was a good laugh. The two leads acted like porn stars, which would be OK if I WERE WATCHING PORN. The story (which didn't develop until the end) probably would've been OK in more capable hands, but it wasn't. There is no gore, blood, not even so much as a paper cut, so if you're looking for that, avoid this one too. We were actually hoping someone would wax one of the kids to at least keep some interest, but that doesn't happen either. Oh and the sound, you get A lot of the "horror violin" music when nothing is really happening. Everyone walks real slow, I guess to build suspense, but it actually drags the movie down. Save your money or better yet, rent a real horror film!

  • One of the best and worst

I happened to come upon this movie by accident as I was flipping through the channels and it was on MSNBC. For those who remark on it's "amateur" quality, need I remind you, it was not made by Steven Spielberg. It is a simple movie made by a man as a tribute to his best friend, his son, his family, and friends. No CGI animations, no special effects or editing. The result is a beautiful and heart-wrenching movie. The ending totally,.... totally caught me off guard but I applaud the parents who persevered and fought to get the laws changed.I highly recommend this movie... As a warning...you will be angered at the lack of action on the part of all members of law enforcement. This movie clearly illustrates how the law does not protect the families but gives the criminals enough leeway to hurt again...truly a sad statement of affairs in our world..
