I liked the movie more as an existential story than a heist one.
The working question and the what do we really want to do with out lives is what most liked about this movie, as well as the cinematography and the music, both really good. There's not more to add to the plot than the very description of the movie.
On the other hand, a few things I did not like: It's extremely long, excessive, unnecessary. Some sequences were really looong, I don't really need to see a 5 minutes sequence of the character climbing a mountain or crossing a river. I do understand the aesthetic of this but it's counterproductive.
If you need 3 hours to tell your story, you are failing at storytelling in my opinion.
The other thing I wasn't that comfortable is with the acting. They don't act so natural, sometimes seems forced.
Wrapping it up, is a good movie if you like thoughtful olots and good landscapes, but if you cannot handle slow pacing, avoid this movie.

Drug Lords, transgender and a musical? Yes, at first it sounds weird but is interesting.
I'm not such a big fan of musicals, but the musical scenes were really good.
The first 2/3 of the movie is interesting and you are wondering what's going to happen next. The final third goes down and is poorly developed, I'd expected more of the same.
The acting in general is ok, with Zoe Saldaña doing a good job even tho she doesn't sound Mexican. Actually no character sounds Mexican and that's a low point.
Most characters you can understand despite their wrong accent (for this purpose) ... the problem gets with Selena Gomez. I know they tried to mask her horrible "spanish" but it wasn't enough. I like her, but there are lot of other actresses who speak spanish perfectly ... even in Mexico duh.
The Selena Gomez accent is no a minor point, from moments you feel like watching Will Ferrel in "Casa de mi Padre", and even that was more descent.

This is by far one of the worst movies ever made, with proper funding obviously. Top 3 for sure.
There are no spoilers because there are no plot. The movie isn't scifi it's a mix of absurd with surrealism, and I'm being generous.
If you see the cast and the result you figure aout that people agreed to do this trash just because the director is Coppola, there's no other explaination.
The movie really make no sense, don't waste time searching for a hidden message, most of the time is cringe and seems written by a old boomer with no connection with technology at all, and this is important because he wanted to transmit that in the movie.
The Satellite subplot is really a wtf why??
The performances are bad, ok the screenplay is also bad so they are kind of forgiven.
The CGI is REALLY BAD. There is no need to do it so ugly, why???
Only passable thing is Giancarlo Esposito, which is rhe only one who say more than thre coherent lines.
