This movie has excellent acting and cinematography. The plot may be a bit weak but I still enjoyed it quite a bit.
I happen to like both Rebecca Hall and Dominic West very much and they do not disappoint. The supporting cast is very good as well.
It is very atmospheric. I thought the setting in an English boarding school in 1921 was quite wonderful but if you do not like period pieces then this may not be for you.
The plot is not incredibly original and I had some initial difficulty with the idea of a woman as a freelance ghostbuster in 1920s England but I quickly got over that as the acting was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
