Such an overrated show. Major flaws:
1) Ferguson did not take the show seriously enough to prepare for it physically. The first scene of her is working as a heavy machinery mechanic. Yet she's little more muscular as a stringbean. She's not skinny but she doesn't have the muscle that heavy mechanic would have. Compare her to how Linda Hamilton prepared for Terminator 2. There's a world of difference.
2) The show moves with the pace of a slug in tar. Easily half of season one and two thirds of season 2 are irrelevant empty-calorie, trite soap opera quality filler. So much crap is offensive.
3) Common is miscast. While he naturally plays a heavy thug, he doesn't have the chops to actually present as someone in an executive position.
4) There are far too many "Felix the Cat" events and they became predictable. Something goes wrong, someone has a fix, something goes wrong, someone has a fix. It became unoriginal, boring, and very predictable. I stopped watching and only listened to the audio while playing computer games.
5) The show was so lame that I guessed what was in the paper bag at the end!
I really hope that the monkeys hit the button and blow the silo up with the nuke.

I'm a dedicated fan of the book, the 1984 movie, and this pair of movies. I've read the book and watched all the films multiple times and will continue to do so.
The two big mistakes Denis V. Made were changing the role of Chani, re-creating her as a pseudo-woke feminist, and attacking religious belief.
When interviewed he said that he made these movies to please himself, and so he did. However, in doing so, he was unfaithful to the book which has displeased it's fans to one degree or another.
Tim C. Was poor in part one but very good in part 2. Josh Brolin failed to deliver the depth needed for his role, and Christopher W. Was miscast as the emperor. Javier Bardem was clearly the best actor in the file. Stellan S. Was not given enough material to work with and that was a shame.
This movie is definitely worth watching but I wish Denis V. Would have remained true to the book. He could have made a golden film.
