It's a rare occasion when a Romantic film comes along and the couple isn't hopping in bed in the first 10 to 15 minutes. This film is rich with scenery, plot, and overall warmth. Chance Encounter" is a genuine and moving film that will stay with you long after the credits roll. It is a testament to the power of cinema to touch our hearts and challenge our minds. I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant cinematic experience. The story is crafted such that it takes you on a brief journey in yet a very a subtle and gentle manner. The acting, music, storyline, and scenery make this movie a gem.
My wife and I watched this series from the beginning. We honestly did some eye rolls watching the gimmicky rescue events and far fetched traumas. We thought of passing on it as it continued. However, I give credit to the writers who realized after 2 seasons to focus more on the characters and less on the trauma events. They were blessed with solid acting leads in Bassett and Kraus and an excellent core of younger actors to build depth and have masterfully made it work. Has this all been done before? Of course. But the characters and their stories make it fresh.
