Wow! I never thought that this movie would be so good. When I first saw the trailer it doesn't look so impressive, because most new movies sucks big times especially those mangas converted into live action movies.

However, it's different for The First Slam Dunk. Takehiko Inoue hit the mark when they finally decide to merge the 3D and 2D hand drawing animation so it makes it more realistic and the nostalgic moment plus the storyline doesn't seem swaying away from the original manga.

The switch on the main character from Sakuragi Hanamichi to Miyagi Ryota is an excellent move, as Ryota doesn't have much background storyline in the original manga and yet very underrated when he was supposed to shine as the top contender for point guard. In the manga and anime series, we know how he went against Maki, Sendoh, Fujima which are considered as the best among the best of all all point guards in Japan high school. By right, it should have been Ryota character to develop more than others since the top players and most important position is as a point guard to deliver the basketball teams.

Personally I like Ryota character more than others, and this changes in The First Slam Dunk really delivers exactly that I wanted (except the love storyline between Ayako and Ryota being removed completely...would have been great to see Ayako end together with Ryota)

Besides, others character were not in vein either, we can still see how dangerous and effective Rukawa and Sakuragi are in their battles. Not to mention about Akagi and Mitsui, as their part as well came in with some details about how Ryota and Mitsui met and become enemies and how Akagi and Ryota get along in a non-teamwork basketball team.

This is full scale war between Sannoh and Shohoku, and the action does not disappoint since begginning up until the end. The dramatic and depressing stories on Ryota's background is really deep and meaningful. This is another aspect in which the director really clever while adding this up during the game battle as to make audience understanding more on how Ryota's came in and move his way up with Shohoku's team which end up battling with best team in Japan aka Sannoh.

The ending is good, and hopefully there will be a sequel as it will be interesting to see how Ryota battle with Sawakita in future...and has he finally surpass Maki, Sendoh, Fujima and Fukatsu as the best point guard??

10/10, The First Slam Dunk is currently the best basketball and sports animation movies ever!

Well...considering that this movie a failure at that time, I guess it's understandable. It has plenty of actions but the storyline is a complete mess. Even with good actors as Liu Yung and Mok Siu Chung can't even save this movie. I wouldn't say that this is totally bad, but it's just average and I feel like 50% wasting my time where in ends all good guys die and bad guys wins. It's just doesn't make sense.. however it's just watchable because of strong performance from the actors and good build up character. There are plenty of actions with good fight scenes. But this movie is a good example which prove the theory where plenty of actions and strong acting doesn't mean it will provide a good movie in the end.

My vote is only 5.5 stars; it's only watchable for once in a while.

the truth is about Amelia is that there is a supernatural cause which happen at that time. This is a top secret info lies within the government and the case is closed. But it was revealed by someone who has been in the special forces.

The last word from Amelia during the final conversation, she did state that there's something big,like a very huge spaceship next to her plane and then suddenly everyone lost contact with her. That was the last statement which was censored and never revealed to anyone, and it is considered as a supernatural case. Maybe the alien has got her.

Maybe lots of people wouldn't believe this story,but to all viewers,that is a fact from the intelligence side.

Talking bout this movie,it is still a good movie, not excellent,but still worth for viewing 7/10

Awesome! What a movie! I never knew that Rutger Hauer(RH) does have martial arts experience involving sword fighting! as far as i concern this movie does really beat most of martial arts movies especially movies that stars Steven Seagle and Van Damme. None of their movies can beat Blind Fury. This movie is really awesome! I suppose this one should be rated more than 6. Allthe actors in this movie are surprisingly convincing. Sho Kosugi small part did really steal the show. I guess this is one of the best fighting scene i've ever watch. But i was wondering why this movie is not a success movie...huhu, never mind that..at least all the comments for this movie sounds positive, no one dares to say this is really a bad movie. I'll give this movie 10 stars. So far, this is one of the best RH movie...i mean the second best.. the best RH movie goes to The Hitcher. Go ahead and watch this two movies.. but don't watch Blade Runner, it really sucks...avoid it!I'll buy a DVD copy for Blind Fury in a few days.. :D 10/10 stars (EXCELLENT)

i must be out of my mind giving this movie a rating a 10 out of 10 stars. people might say that i'm crazy, but i realize why Leonard Maltin decide to give this movie a rating 2 1/2 stars for this movie. it's not really bad at all...

the problem with the movie is there is no actual story and reasons to why all the incident happens involving the laser gun. And yet, who the f**k are the aliens???? but to my opinion, are these problems important enough to be questioned?? errr...what i meant is some things should not be taken seriously, it is not important for the director to explain who are the aliens and why the laser gun was left on earth. but the most important thing is how the aliens going to get back the laser back and what will happen if the laser gun falls into the hands of human. this is what the film trying to explain. this is a very simple movie and has couple of action scene which is good. Laserblast is more likely a drama to me, not an action movie.

remember, this is no Star Wars, this is just a simple movie about a story about the life of a man who accidentally found the laser gun. Please reconsider this movie again fellas....give it a chance

What the hell??? How come there are 2 Razzie Nominations for this movie??? Shelley Duvall nominated for worst actress??? How the hell it was given to her??? Honestly i really think that she is one the reason and character which makes this movie a classic! Let's us think again... Shelley is definitely NOT a pretty woman at all. Nowadays directors only focused on pretty woman and chicks and gave them important roles to make their movie a success, because they thought people would watch pretty woman in a movie instead of judging their acting performances. Well, this does not happens in Kubrick's The Shining.... Shelley was given the role because she is a natural. The role for her perfectly fits her, and she has the ability to control her emotion and tension. She didn't become totally insane and scared because this is how normal people naturally become when something happens. Jack Nicholson has shown a superb acting especially when turning into a maniac! I wonder why he didn't won any Oscar for this kind of performances??? And as for Kubrick...how come he is nominated as the Worst Director???? This is totally insane!!! Come on people...we all knew the Shining is a classic until today!

There is nothing much to say...this is the best movie by Steve Reeves, not Hercules definitely!! I've watched this 10 years ago on TV, and ,only after 10 years i get a chance to buy this movie in VCD. I just couldn't find any DVD copy available, it's a rare movie in Malaysia, huhuhu..

The acting and performance from most of the actors are surprisingly good, the plot movie is great where it is about the wooden horse, and yet the dialog and the dubbing in English version are not really too bad. definitely the best Steve Reeves movie ever.

i also recommend The Avenger and Morgan The Pirate...u can also check out A Long Ride From Hell, it's really a good western movie.

Good gracious!!! Steve Reeves in a western movie??? It's really hard to find this movie on DVD, i need to wait for a long long time to get a chance to watch this movie. Luckily i found it on You Tube and download this as well. Honestly, I'm not disappointed after watching it! Steve Reeves came up with his final movie and quit acting after this movie, i wonder why??? The way he acted in a cowboy movie was surprisingly good and he could turn out to be a lot better if he further his career. It's too bad he quit earlier..I wish he acted more in spaghetti western movies..he could be as popular as Franco Nero or Lee Van Cleef! A Long Ride From Hell is just one of the best western movies i have seen so far. In my opinion, this one surpasses Django and The Great Silence. I just thought that A Long Ride From Hell is better.

STCM is surely an underrated masterpiece written by Stephen King (SK)and excellently directed to become one of the most greatest horror film within SK movies. Most of SK movies is exceptional, they were great ( STCM, FIRESTARTER, SHINING, CARRIE, MISERY, ....) but some is definitely bad, i mean it's bad but it's so good to watch (MANGLER, STCM2, STCM3, ..) But i am disagree with the rating given, for i think this movie should be a given a higher rating at least 7.0. This is because the movie is so good, the plot line, climax and also the acting performances showed by Tim Matheson are really convincing.

Overall i rate this movie 10 out of 10 (Excellent)

WOW....what a movie !! i really love this kind of flick. But i wonder how come this movie is not a success at the box office??? Moreover there are only around 2000 voters who voted for this movie and yet, the ratings given here is only 5.2 ! I don't think this movie deserve a low rating, it should be more than 6.0 i guess...

To all people who gives this movie a low vote and bad reviews about Stone Cold, please watch this movie again and judge this this movie as an simple action movie, not drama, war or anything else because Stone Cold is definitely not an Oscar Nominated movie, but indeed it does have good elements, hard hitting action and violence.

Give this movie a try...if u're a fan of Lance Henriksen, i guarantee u will love this flick...

If u're not a Stephen King's fan (SK), i still believe u'll enjoy it.. but if u're SK fan, u might consider this movie as one of the best SK movie! Drew Barrymore returns as the Firestarter, cute little girl who gives a great performance which can be considered the best after ET The Extra Terrestrial. David Keith here as a hero and a father to the Firestarter has a magical power, err...i don't know what it is called...let's say a mind blowing power which works as Scanner. David Keith performance is satisfied enough, maybe not the best, but at least shows a positive character and a good role model as father to her daughter. The best character in this movie is surely the villain George C Scott whom a superstar actor which nominated for Oscar in Patton 1970, and further up his career with an excellent performance in The Changeling 1980. Once again he has proved that this movie comes alive because of him.

Nothing to say about the plot of this ,movie...but Firestarter still have some flaws. I realized that it is hard to adapt a story from SK novel, but at least Mark L Lester has made his best in adapting SK movie. Many critics appears to give negative reviews about Firestarter, but i wouldn't really give a damn about it. Firestarter is no Godfather or 12 Angry Men, not even close to the great Terminator & Alien, but it still definitely worth watching! Overall give this movie a try, sure u'll love it! 10* out of 10*

Wow! This is the only word i could describe. This is definitely one of the best peplum movies i've ever watch (only for Steve Reeves movies) so far. I've watched all Steve Reeves movies except 3; Sandokan The Great, The Slave @ Son Of Spartacus, and A Long Ride From Hell. So, from here so far The Avenger remains as the second best movie of Steve Reeves while the Trojan Horse remains the best. Oh wait! I've seen most of the comments in Steve Reeves movies are saying that The first Hercules movie in 1958 is the best Steve Reeves movie among all...is that true?? I don't think it is, because to me, i think it is only OK to watch, not very good indeed. Hercules Unchained is better than the first, but if you wanna watch something better in Steve Reeves movies, then check out The Avenger and the Trojan Horse. Others which is also good is Morgan The Pirate, Thief Of Baghdad, Last Day Of Pompeii, Duel Of Titans and Sandokan The Pirate Of Malaysia..try to avoid Goliath And Barbarians and Giant Of Marathon(not very good indeed,huhuhu).

As for this movie; sure it's not a perfect movie, but still i'm giving it a chance, so i'm giving it a 9.5/10 stars... :)

Well..this not the best of Steve Reeves or Gordon Scott movies, but definitely not the worse! There are plenty of worse movies outside there, so please do not judge the Italian movies in a bad way...TROY (Brad Pitt) is 1000 times much much much more worse compared to the Italian movies! Duel Of Titans is simply one of the better movies, and please check out for this one. The acting is good, the dubbed English audio is not very bad and moreover i've got a good dubbed audio for this movie! I don't know whether this movie originally use the Italian or English language..or maybe both??? No matter what kind of language they use in this movie, this is still a good movie. Good acting from both Steve Reeves and Gordon Scott, and fine storyline and plot. Not the best, but still a pretty good one. Buy it, surely you won't regret! 8/10 stars

well..this is the only movie from Hollywood which shot the film in Malaysia. THis is the only movie which has plenty of actors from Malaysia whom i known, and they're are fantastic! "Os" is one of the actors who shows great courage in a Hollywood movie, followed with the girl, Azmil and Shaharudin Tamby. I'm glad that i Watched this movie although there are only 252 votes, and only get a 5.0 out of 10 stars.

The best part of this movie is where the final scene was shot in my own country, in "Padang Kota Lama" and it seems to be a great action movies! This is one the place where it happens to be a great "tsunami" which cause death to the people in Penang in 2005. Oh well, let's not talk about tsunami, let's talk about movie. This is a well done movie with great action scene and superb acting. Deserve to obtained more stars which i think it should be above 6 stars.

By the way, give this movie a chance, watch it!! (10/10)

what the hell??owh...come on...i just don't believe that people only give this movie 2.5 out of 10?? this is is a good b movie! of course there are flaws in it, and only one major flaw in this movie. the only major flaw in this movie is how come a robot who escape intends to hijack a place just to obtain million dollars??? there's no point...but everything is okay...it just a simple movie with a good acting form Zagarino, Kove and Foster. It's not a perfect movie, but far much more better than some stupid popular movie such as Blade Runner, Terminator 4, Transformer and bla bla bla....

Well,i just don't believe it! People are giving higher stars for stupid sci-fi movies such as dark knight, matrix trilogy, blade runner and bla bla bla... Let's get straight to the point, is MO good or not?? In my opinion of course it is not the best,not a classic either, but it is a good movie to enjoy. What else do we want from a Stephen King movie?? I used to be a fan of Stephen King, so i really think that this movie should be given at least 6 stars or higher! MO has good elements in it, and KIng always create a story which is very very unique and "out of mind". Machine@trucks ruling the world?? Whoever in this goddamn world would think of such an idea?? The acting is simply good with Pat Hingle and Emilio Estevez in this particular movie!

Come on...why would u hate a movie like this?? It's simply enjoyable!

James Belushi as a villain?? I used to watch this movie a few tears ago in hospital (having some kinda disease). This is really a good sci-fi movie, where James Belushi is always a master actor in every piece of his movie. The only reason i find retroactive entertaining is because of him..nothing else!! He has turned this movie somehow...somewhat...a pure sensational action movie! I'll give this a 10/10..Unfortunately,people nowadays could not create good movies like this anymore.For all of u guyz out there, give this movie a chance, and u'll find that this would be far much2 more satisfying than watching other stupid sci-fi movies (blade runner, transformer, the matrix...) Watch Retroactive!!! 10*stars(excellent)

i couldn't say more...this is a good horror movie actually,but i wonder why this movie is only given a 4.6 stars out of 10, why?? actually it deserves more than 6! Come on...this is a B movie, what more we can aspect?? The acting is quite good, especially Lance Henriksen. He is the only reason why i bought this movie. Ally Sheedy is not that good... but i think she's still OK in this movie. Not bad after all. The best part of this movie is The scene where the dog swallowed that little kitten. It looks very scary and funny a little bit. I really love this movie! So, i guess i'm the only one who's giving this a 10 out of 10 stars isn't it?? People might wonder why i give this 10 right?? I'll tell you why.. i'm just giving this movie a chance..cause this movie deserves higher rating than 4.6, maybe 6 and above to me. People are voting high ratings for the matrix and batman the dark night which i think was very very bad and stupid! Man's Best Friend is far much much more better than those! What the hell...?? What on earth is going around?? OTT only given 4.5 out of 10??Oh my god...that's brilliant...very brilliant indeed!! I just can't believe this! I checked in IMDb, and look at the biography of Stallone and it says OTT was not a successful movie and only mediocre. How could that possibly be?? Just because it is only a low budget movie and it should be considered as non popular movie? By far, to me this is one of the finest movie Stallone ever had! The story is good, and the acting is well. I just don't see what is wrong about this movie! Of course there are some flaws, but who cares?? Even Rocky have flaws, and i can tell u what it is. But it is still a good movie isn't it?? And i don't see what's wrong with this movie. What's make this different from from Rocky?? Why it wouldn't become success as Rocky?? Someone.. please explain this to me!! (10/10**)

Wow! I can't really imagine this kind of movie. What is it?? A space vampire?? Whoever ever think about this kind of movie?? Based on the novel "space vampire",Lifeforce made out as a success movie in the 80's. I was tend to watch this movie when i found out at the IMDb which was given an average rating of 5.8. This is actually an unknown movie for there are only about 5000 people who votes on Lifeforce, so, i'm giving it a chance. The main reason i watched this movie is likely because my friend want to watch a sci-fi movie. Then i search all around in IMDb and found this one. Tobe Hooper have created good movies recently especially Texas chainsaw massacre, funhouse and some others..so i think i should try out Lifeforce.

At first, the movie is full of suspense, not because of its special effect (which i think quiet cool for the 80's), but the acting, the music and how the story lines goes. Actually, it makes feel very confusing.. but i kept on watching till i found out what the hell is it all about. At the end, i still not fully understand the whole matter of Lifeforce, but it is already enough for me and my friend to conclude that this is a good movie. The only thing that i hate about this movie is the sex scene,huhu...overall, the plot line is interesting, the acting is not incredibly brilliant, but still there are good performances from the actors, surely not an Oscar material, but still a good one.

I think that this movie deserves a second chance, find it and watch it. I'll rate this movie 10 out of 10..not because it was perfect, but just giving it a chance. Honestly, i don't think Lifeforce should be given rating of 5.8 out of 10. It should have been higher.

About a couple of months ago i watched this movie i found that this movie really sucks. Then i checked in the IMDb list and was surprised to see that this movie rated 7.4. Therefore i comment on this movie by saying that this movie is really bad. Last night i bought a DVD and my friend and i decide to watch this movie. I told him that this movie sucks.. but after watching it again, i realize that i was completely wrong about this movie. Truly this was a great movie.. I doubt if there are more movies like this nowadays. So today, i opened back my account in the IMDb and delete the old comment. I would like to apologize for my bad comments over this movie. Honestly, it was a classic.
