This movie is bad, but in the best possible sense of the word. The dialogue is so terrible that it's hilarious. Interestingly, two of the movie's stars, Matt Battaglia and Krista Allen (who is totally hot), appeared in many scenes together in the NBC daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives." All I can say about Burt Reynolds is: Thank goodness he redeemed himself with "Boogie Nights." I have one main recommendation about this movie: Rent it, don't buy it. Unless you rent it and truly believe you'll want to watch it multiple times, don't waste any more money than the cost of a rental. It's entertaining, but for me, it certainly doesn't demand multiple viewings the way many of my favorite movies do.
You may get a good laugh from watching "Kiss and Tell," but it won't be from stale, typical jokes. The humor in this indie flick is of a different breed than most comedies. The film was made on a less-than-shoestring budget, but it doesn't need special effects or an expensive soundstage set to work. Teresa Hill and Pamela Gidley give standout performances. I highly recommend this DVD. Treat yourself to something different.
Probably not surprisingly, I was a fan of many of the Fox prime-time soaps of the '90s -- "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose Place," "Pacific Palisades." But "Models, Inc." was by far the best of them. It's a shame the show only lasted one season. I had really gotten into the characters and storylines.
If you are lucky enough to get your hands on tapes of this series, don't pass up the opportunity. Because it only lasted 29 episodes (30 if you count a finale that was done after the demise of the series), it plays almost like a miniseries.
The show features standout performances from Teresa Hill, Kylie Travis, Stephanie Romanov and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Take it from a soap fan: This one is the best.
