The movie Merc, starring Charlie Cox and Zooey Deschantel, was a big disappointment for me. The main reason is that Charlie Coz doesn't turn into Daredevil even once. I kept waiting for the superhero moment, but this movie seems more focused on his daily life and his dog. Which honestly was pretty boring.
The woman is fine, but very predictable. The movie focuses a lot on emotions and relationships, and I guess thats interesting to some people, but it felt slow. Overall it's not a terrible movie, but it never delivered on what I was waiting for, so I give it 3 out of 10 stars.

Now here comes a really surprising movie in at the end of 2025.
I don't know what knocked my socks off here - the unconventional sex scenes, or the rag tag group of comedian sidekicks.
It follows the traditional Indian setup where you first have thirty minutes of nonsense leading into some dancing and jazz hands. Some CGI elements take the dance to next level embarrassing.
If you want to watch a movie today, then this is certainly a movie. It lasts for quite some time and has end credits - that tells me this is a real movie.

Dhurandhar is about some indian guy named Dhurandhar. He lives in someones underbelly. One of the qualities of this movie is that it's really long. More than three hours of indian people doing whatever indian people are doing.
The movie follows the traditional indian scoring system, where anything above score 9 means the movie rates about 5/10, and anything 8 and below means that its not gonna be worth your time. This is a weakness, because indian people can't objectively judge what they are watching, they go into binary mode.
All in all, Dhurandhar is a movie. It's for sure one of the movies of 2025.
