Quite possibly the worst movie ever made. Cardboard characters, laughable plot, bad acting, cheesy effects, etc., etc. You know a movie's truly awful when an oh-so-lovely and gratuitously nude Natasha Henstridge can't save it. Worse than a waste of money, it's a complete waste of time.
This movie has a great soundtrack -- actually written and performed by the cast. Jazzee (Tabatabai) is an amazing song writer, and cute, too. Coco Krebitz and Katja Riemann are lovely and quite talented. Drags a little in the middle, but other than that it's a fun film worth seeing (I've seen it four times myself). Summary: Appealing cast, great music, terrific cinematography, clever dialogue. Four out of five stars from me!
As with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Highlander: The Series," this latest movie spin-off series is much better than the original movie. It is a shame that the show's producers don't make better use of the Showtime venue by adding more realistic "adult language" and nudity, like "The Outer Limits." But other than those shortcomings, it's quite a good show, though I keep thinking of its similarity to "Sliders" whenever they end up on some world similar to Earth.
